I guess the time is ripe for me to unbox my US Saturn.
Hehe, I need to get one of those like fuck, now that I just got a US Saturn [as in today].

Also, a copy of VF2 and Road Rash which came with it, but those aren't picworthy.

@Kingbuzzo:
Oooh. Thanks. I'll look into it once I figure out how I can use my laptop's internet connection with the DC modem.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

I did did that in the same part of my finger one time, except I punched through a picture frame because I'm obsessed with Fist of the North Star. I guess there is a major vein there or something, or at least some girl told me that with an EMT boyfriend.

Fightan games.

Each of the buttons on the left corresponds to a joystick direction. It enables you to do certain motions much more easily than on a joystick. Like double-taps, holds, 360s. I guess it's like a keyboard/joystick hybrid.

I've almost had Fist of the North Star-related injuries. I guess that's just one more awesome point for Drauch.

Awwww shit Dreamcast goodness, hot damn.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

Getting ready for the Fourth of July. We do a big get-together at my aunt's house in a place where just about anything goes for fireworks (most cities ban them around here) and with multiple people bringing stuff, there's usually pretty crazy quantities of fireworks. Needless to say, I usually contribute a fair bit to the carnage...

Got a new HDTV to replace my 28" PC monitor (leftmost in the video).

Doing an weird little video test w/ Progear and 4 screens. I'm not really interested in being able display the same game on all screens, but to output any source to any screen.

Lol, loved seeing the finger wound. I've cut myself at work a couple of times like that, they bleed a lot. Supposedly, you can bleed to death from the loss of two fingers.

On the left is the Under Defeat poster, on the right in Gunlord Dragon box Edition, with badass stickers and postcard. It's pretty rad.

Had my belated birthday party this Saturday. So I got some things!

Image

Except for Devil May Cry HD Collection, these were all gifts. DMC was half a gift, because I actually got two copies of PSP Little Big Planet, so I went and traded one of them in and added some moneys to get that instead.

Thing with the logo at the bottom is actually a t-shirt, the logo being the logo for the first convention I ever went to - still one of the best cons I've been to.

Yes, that's the 4kids dub of One Piece. That was explicitly a gag gift.

Gotta decide where to put up that (laminated!) Touhou poster. It's probably going above the computer screen.

Not pictured because I forgot: Stack of Magic cards I got as a bonus.
My 1CCs so I can find the list easier myself

A few recent gets:

Gonbes GBS-8220 & Custom Saturn RGB cable
Not exactly ideal, but it allows me to play my Saturn on my 21" Sony CRT monitor... Which in turn prevents me from buying and storing another large display.

Mayflash Fight Stick, Sanwa Bits, and Saturn V1 Control Pad
I assume you know where this is going...

I think it's an easy pcb to solder on wires. Might follow gabe's path to own another joystick in my collection.

Anyhow, got this bad boy for my 500D/Rebel T1i for $200. :3

That is correct. The 1st gen pad is easier to deal with than the 2nd gen. Outside of modding purposes, I definitely prefer the newer pad.

This was actually weeks ago, but I got a pretty good-condition used Xbox 360, 2009 manufacture date, for all of $10. Then I promptly dropped it on the floor at home. Seems to work fine, though. There is something rattling a bit (when I shake) but it might be the spring I lost (from the faceplate; the faceplate apparently took most of the brunt of the impact and the two USB slot covers were both jammed aside, but not broken).

The more I read about last gen exclusives, the more depressed I get. It's enough to make me want to find a copy of Enclave for Xbox 1 and Rygar PS2 and try to forget about some of the last few years.

Get Blood Will Tell for the PS2. It's out there. Just use double tap instead of L3 to boost once you get your leg back (don't ask) as the default setting is reportedly bad for left thumbstick. Also, Shinobi (2002).

It might also just be the orientation sensor; this drove me fucking mad when I first noticed it. I completely disassembled the xbox just to find out if it was a loose part rattling around.

The sensor has a tiny metal ball inside that sits in one position or another for horizonal or vertical orientation. I believe the optical drive also has a sensor, and that if the two don't match positions, you can get a RRoD error (not 100% sure, it was a fleeting observation I made).
