They all look as if they had the same "pony template," except for the colour and a few other slight changes from one to the other. Kinda reminds me of those sh**** moe cartoons like K-On 8)

Reminds me more of a bad motion tween-heavy Macromedia Flash cartoon. Which is what I'm pretty sure it actually is.

Admittedly, Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space was the same way, but it made up for it by being wonderfully surreal and creepy.

Someone explain to me how Derpy Hooves (ugh) got an official limited edition figure sold at conventions after being retconned from the show.

They only retconned her name and retard voice. Her name doesn't appear on the packaging iirc

Admittedly, I really dug the Canadian cartoon 6Teen. My little brother was watching it one day and I was hooked! It wasn't the sh**** flash animation that I liked, though, but the writing. It worked out a bit like the teenybopper version of Three's Company 8)

Also, you show Danger Mouse, but no love for Count Duckla?

The irony is that he keeps asking for the thread to go away, but doesn't realize that all he has to do is not post/read in it.

Because she's the symbol of the fandom and Hasbro knows the people going to SDCC are not going to be the parents of young children who might complain.

I legitimately have no idea what the fuck a moe cartoon is as I generally hate the anime scene, but the reason the ponies use a similar template was Hasbro. They wanted a similar body type for all, though that's changing. Characterization is more important that appearance anyways.

A moe cartoon is just that - the anime equivalent of My Little Pony: sh**** designs, puerile stories, and a fandom base of middle-aged dudes. I'm surprised you('d) hate it.

In a medium that bases itself primarily on the visual, appearance is everything... and this show has a generic, cookie-cutter style that borders on the ugly 8)

Count Duckula was great, just didn't remember it. It's not a definitive list or anything, I just threw it together.

Sorry. Gummie Bears. Clearly not a huge visual distinction between the two.

Care Bears sucked ass, same as MLP did in the 80's. Gummie Bears was Tokyo Movie Shinsha awesomeness through and through, one of Disney's best series.

All the cartoons on this page are as shit as each other tbh, with the exception of the japanese ones. Dangermouse was more like a radio play with some drawings.

Is there anything in Skykid's list of cartoons that wasn't made in the 80's/early 90's? Talk about a nostalgia trip. Also, some of those were absolutely awful.

Here's something you guys should actually start watching:

Gravity Falls. It's on Disney, just started airing.
