I do not get how this game is $14 at launch and every other game was $5-$6 or so.
Are they trying to turn off potential customers and the loyal fanbase.
I asked many of my friends who have bought the previous ports and they said they cannot justify the price tag. Although I think it is worth the cost it is no way to expand your sales.

A Hardcore gamers reaction to the Lack of Kinect games. Apparently i could of played Dodonpachi with it if i beat a entirely in Japanese Visual Novel piece of shit game called Instant Brain

2 possible explanations :
- they need money, as fast as possible
- they've observed that their iOS ports were sold pretty fast, during the first days
I think the second is the right one.
So they thought : "Wait a minute : we're solding our games at a low price to our hardcore fans ! But those _________* would pay twice or thrice the price ! Let's make them spit some money this time !"
By the way, just for GOD mode, I think it's still worh it, but as prices keep increasing it's probably the last time I think so. (And Boss Rush is crap !)

@Lemonhead : a very good achievement you found out !

I asked my friend who is a hardcore Ipad/IOS enthusiast who has bought all of the IOS Cave ports. I asked him if he was getting Mushi Black label and when he asked me the price and I told him $14 he quickly said FU*K THAT!
I offered to pay the $4 difference to which there was no reply.

Personally, I'd love to get this port, as MF BL is my favourite STG ever. And up to now, I bought every single cave release (incl. the HD releases of Esp II and DDP res), but this is just plain fan-milking. I *might* have swallowed the 14$ price tag, but not even including the announced boss rush mode, but charging additional bullshit IAP-fees for it...

I'd get it if it was "HD". That seems to be the price point for espgaluda and dodonpachi (HD versions). I'll gladly pay the higher price point for the better visuals.

Hell, $14 would be a fairly appropriate price if the game was HD and had the boss-rush mode included. But it has neither of those things, which makes the price discrepancy between Futari and BL so much more confusing.

I gladly paid to import the original Mushi PS2 port when that was released, and the 360 port when that came out recently. I also happily paid for the Mushi iOS release.
I excitedly bought the Futari ports for both 360 and iOS.
I shelled out for all the nice Ltd editions where available.
I bought all the soundtracks, art books and superplay DVDs.
These games are - along with Konami, Raizing & Treasure's best shmups - pretty much my favourite games ever, of any type, on any platform.
The first Mushihimesama was the game that really got me into Cave. Previously I was much more of an old-school shmup fan and not much into bullet hell. I'm still not very good at them to be honest, but I dearly love them.
However. At this price point, this just feels like one double dip too many to me. Sorry Cave... I might get it eventually, maybe when there's a sale on or something... but not just now.

Worth the price for original alone, but maniac and god are pretty much unplayable (for score) because of the way the shot controls work.

I mean you have to press a "shot off" button to stop shooting, which is pretty unintuitave in the thick of it. I tend to just try and not shoot things by moving to one side of the screen to drop my meter.geremy wrote:I don't follow, are you double tapping for weapons change?

So what would the chances be of this game being re-released in an "HD" version in the near future?

No idea, but it would end up costing a shitload if it was.Daika110 wrote:So what would the chances be of this game being re-released in an "HD" version in the near future?
