Yeah, I'm pretty sure we decided on no doujins last time around.

Yeah I remember trap15 having a whinge on behalf of Linux users, must've been something official come out of that.

Shame, I was gonna vouch for Solid State Survivor if I got picked. Fortunately there's plenty of good stuff available on MAME. :)

We could limit it to one person picking a doujin shmup. The point of having two STGs of the month is that some people might not like/be able to play one of them, and there'll still be one other to focus on, right?

This sounds good to me. It could be taken further with the rule being that one of the games must run in MAME and the other can be basically anything. Including doujins and console-exclusives.

List updated.

I'll take the doujin thing under consideration once I've consumed more caffeine.

I'm in, more to test my luck than to put effort on a game that will not receive as much effort (from me and/or other people) due to stgt (if it does start in July).

Okay, I'm still awake and we are done with nominating ourselves (well, I'm not nominating myself because I'd probably pick a shitty game). I'm going to run the RNG (sounds way cooler than "I'm going to random.org and pushing the stupid button twice") and get the results.

I'll flip a coin. One person gets to choose a game that can be run in MAME or any other PSX-or-earlier emulator. The other person gets those same options as well as being able to choose a doujin game if they wish.

I'll edit the OP and bump the thread on Sunday to let everyone know what the games are and open up a HS table for the month. I'm not going to start a strategy thread, because I feel we'd be better off contributing to any STs/GDs/whatever that are already up.

Good luck.

EDIT: Typical last-minute sik. Welcome back, dude.

DOUBLE EDIT: If selected users want to brag about being selected, that's fine. Idgaf, but I'm not revealing anything. Suffer!

TRIPLE EDIT: PMs have been sent. I'm looking forward to either great games or trolltastic games. See you all Sunday! GET THOSE DONPACHI SCORES IN!

First game has been selected - Gunbird 2! I'll let you all know the second game as soon as it's submitted. =) I'll start a HS thread when I'm not on my phone.

Awesome! After yesterday's thread I started to think how nice it would be if it were(one of) the STG of this month.
On the other hand, there goes half of my chances of producing any non-shameful high-scores for this month

Crystal Ball says ... survey says! ... "That's a question you should ask yourself!"

Well, I take this to mean that the other game will not be Fire Barrel, Mystic Riders, Earth Joker, Undead Line, In The Hunt, a Thunder Cross game, X-Multiply, Flying Shark, Odd Mobs, or Gun.Smoke. Arbalester and Major Stryker also seem to have a very low probability of being the chosen game.

Second pick is Sengeki Striker!

Apparently the Asia version is more difficult than the Japan version. Both will be accepted. I'll get the HS thread up in a bit.
