If you haven't done it yet, advertise properly for your hack in the "shmups chat" section (in a separate thread than your future Ketsui hack) it'll get more attention. Just my thoughts.

I believe the main problem with CV is that most of the patterns (as well as the scoring system) are significantly altered compared to the original, and tuning each of them by the eye is a damn lot of work. :(

This is awesome. I love having a black laser for the C ship and how the helicopter is actually viable now. Make another one of these sometime.

Sorry to post this in the score thread, but I couldn't find another thread.
I cant seem to get this working in anything. I did exactly as it says on the site, but it just loads normal DDP when I load the rom?
I extracted both roms to a folder, ran it through the .exe, removed the .bak and re-archived. Pop the rom in rom folder, re-audit roms, and on the mame builds it actually worked in( several kept giving me cannot find u26 or u27, even though they were there) it just loads normal DDP.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a particular build I should be using? I got Ketsui arrange working no problem in shmupmame 3b, but no luck with this.

The ones that say it's missing are probably correct
. You can't run modified ROMs from the builtin MAME GUI. You need to run from command line, or from a frontend.

For Strong style, is the laser aura supposed to be that of the weaker laser?
The Weak laser has the Strong laser aura. They're basically mixed up. Also, the Laser activation time on Strong style is that of the Weak one and vice versa (That is, when using Laser type in original DDP, the activation was almost instant, but when using Shot type, it takes a few extra frames).
Any of this intentional?

But I am running the ketsui arrange through shmupmame 3b no problem? All versions of Mame I have tried this with were versions with frontends(mame32ui, shmupmame 2.2 and 3b, etc.) And the ones that say u26 and u27 are missing is weird too, as they are in there(shmupmame 2.2 did that iirc).trap15 wrote:The ones that say it's missing are probably correct. I don't think cheesing through a game because I decided shitty mechanics was ok particularly counts as "playing on reflexes". I hate this game. I'm not updating the scoreboard for this anymore, sorry. Anybody who wants to can take it over, just let me know so I can link to it in the OP.
