
The initial idea was to create something that could express our passion for old school titles, until we realized we could improve it conjugating the arcade-like gameplay with a modern appearance. We worked for about five months using Blender and Unity3D, focusing hard on the graphic aspect.

Finally the release date is close: we are testing our beta version and trying to make it as good as we can. The final result of our efforts seems to move a bit away from the canonical shmup; for this reason, we would love to hear some opinions from enthusiasts and experts of the genre.

Syder Arcade will be available in a few weeks for Win and OSX, and it's more and more likely we will realize also a Linux version. The game features 5 levels (plus a survival mode one) and the player is able to choose between three different ships. The High Scores database is online.



All the screenshots come from the last two beta versions, while the gameplay video is from the last but one. Ideas, advices, critiques and comments are always welcome.
