Every time I think about playing video games on some weird display (IMAX, advertisement displays, Jumbotron, etc), I start to speculate how they are probably not designed for gaming and laggy to the point of worthlessness. But then again I tend to be skeptical of all displays until I try them out myself.

I used to think "why are they showing CNN in the wrong aspect ratio?" I guess sets are starting to appear that fix that automatically.

You know if I somehow hooked up a shmup to one of those inside a busy mall, I'd toss on mirror shades, lean into every maneuver while moving the controller all over the place, look the other way while using Kakusei, verbally taunt the game especially boss fights, and ham it up just like that pic.

when i used to work at the airport i'd walk through the terminals and they have these vertical oriented LCDs showing departure times.

i would often think about playing shmups on them.

just hook up a 360 in some control room so all the screens would be linked and watch everyone at the airport be all confused by Princess Reco flying around killing bugs

Hell, even when I'm in damn Walmart and I see the screens on the support beams in TATE, that's the first thing that comes to mind.
