Speed problem with Shikigami 1 PC

The PC version of Shikigami no Shiro 1 is running unplayably slow for me. Turning "wait" off improves it very slightly but not enough.

Is my machine simply too powerful, or is there any way to fix it? I am running 64-bit Win 7.

Aside from usual suspects (compatibility mode), you could try setting the CPU affinity (to CPU 0 only) from the task manager, and also try unplugging USB devices (on the off chance that could make a difference).

This happened to me as well except it was going at triple the normal speed and I couldn't find a fix. I tried everything I could think of, ended up just uninstalling the game.
