^^Correct. The emulation is way off.
What's wrong with it?
Sprite priorities are wrong and various other mostly-video things.

NMK's video hardware is pretty weird, and few of them are actually emulated correctly.

The enemy waves in Hacha Mecha Fighter is way off in MAME, Ed. You'll know when you play your PCB.

I didn't get the PCB, could you elaborate? Faster, slower, something else? (In the current build, I have to laugh at how the first POW is immediately followed by fast popcorn so that trying to collect will be a death sentence.)

The sound seems the most pleasant (if not accurate) of the problematic NMK games (like Strahl or GunNail, and probably par with Black Heart).

I can't dispute there being something wrong with the video, but whatever problems exist don't seem to harm gameplay, or even the game aesthetic in the early sections. If something is broken by this, it probably is a ways into the game (since I haven't seen anything in a minute or two of play, and based on my memory of having played further recently - damn long stages in this game though). If it's something like the oranges on the title screen needing to appear in front of the title, well...

It's not unplayable. Might be wrong, but not unplayable :)

I'll try to record a movie of the attract mode after work.

They're not at all worth anyone's trouble to try and fix, but some of Dooyong's shmups have screwed up colors or garbled graphics past the title screen. Sound might be off too, it's so awful I can't tell.

It will be a huge deal for the community when ST-V emulation is finally at a playable level for all games and without severe input lag.

Shot the attract mode of Hacha Mecha Fighter PCB with my phone: http://youtu.be/kaVwKz1gp6M

I hope this clears a few things an perhaps even can help whoever wants to improve the emulation. I would have played a run, but my screen is in TATE.

Andromeda still not working? Lame, looks impressive for '79 - and is that some sort of scoring system there at the bottom?

EDIT: Oh, it's '81 - vid is mislabelled. Should have known better.

EDIT2: http://flyers.arcade-museum.com/?page=f ... 70&image=1 Yeah, fairly involved there.
It's missing a rom, we need a working PCB, but the only time one has been sold it was >$5000

The early IREM games used terribly unreliable roms, most of them are bad now, the few remaining ones are dying, and being sold for stupid money

Irems 'Green Beret' (not the same as the popular Konami game) is another we simply can't source.

Both of these are made twice as hard because there are a fair number of Galaxian bootlegs called Andromeda, and of course, in the latter case, the far more popular Konami game.

Neat, but it would have been helpful to get the sound and see when enemies were coming onscreen for those first waves.

One thing I was able to spot easily were the color swaps for invincibility flashing, which are missing from MAME.

Bah, that sucks. Surely the person putting up a PCB for $5000 knows its value comes from the fact that these things are dying and need to be preserved in a more permanent way. I'd pitch in money for a fund, but for that much you'd need a lot of like-minded people that probably just don't exist :(
IGMO - Poorly emulated, never beaten.

I think he was referring to the Raiden Fighters series which, from my last experience, are not fully emulated, although Viper Phase 1 is (well, pretty close as I play the PCB from time to time)
From previous discussions (me whining) with Haze, the sound is not emulated correctly (missing channels/effects/volume in music) and there are some intricacies in the graphics that haven't been handled correctly (something about the blue text in Viper Phase 1's attract screen and a few other things).

There were a couple of fixes made to the sound emulation recently, no idea how much they help tho..

and yes, the alpha blending effects are kludged a bit now, the implementation isn't 100% correct, but it's more noticeable in the mahjong title which makes heavier use of blending effects.

They might just be showing off now, and hoping to use the games as a kind of retirement fund later. It happens.

If it's the one in 0.145u6 you're referring to it made the music play at the right speed (it was all over the place before) but comparing the tracks to soundtracks and even FLAC recordings straight off the arcade machine show there's still some instruments off and volume levels not quite right - it's really noticable in Raiden Fighter's 'Gigantic Boss Area' theme considering there's a part where there's about 2 instruments playing when there's meant to be much more. Has there been something more recent for Seibu SPI in this regard?

Hay, ISeeThings: To whom shall I present my Hacha Mecha Fighters clip ( http://youtu.be/kaVwKz1gp6M ) so the MAME driver for it can be improved?
