Maybe not the kind of PCB this thread is all about, but it still made me smile when I found the U-MAD circuit on a SNES PCB (Super Mario All-Stars + World) by accident today. I remember my brother and me raging a lot at some levels nearly 20 years ago.

Snagged DDP with flyer for $120 on YAJ. The seller had misspelled the title AND put it in the wrong category. I was the only bidder and won it at the reserve price of 10,000 yen.

That's the one shmup-PCB my wife would actually like as a gift, I reckon. I'd love to get that one day.

And good work rancor. At least this landed in the lap of one of the good guys!

That's gotta be a new record for paying a cheap-ass price, especially for a DDP PCB with accompanying original arcade paperwork. Sure, every once in a blue moon, will such a cheap shmup PCB appear for sale on an auction site or forum site.

There was the thread about a cool barebones ESP.ra.de PCB deal snagged for a mere $75.00 USD some time back that the ol' timer shmuppers might recall (the seller didn't even know the true second-hand resale value of it on the arcade shmups PCB market at that particular point in time). It's understandable if he or she was looking to get a bit of money back if there's no use for it. So be it.

I like how Psikyo managed to dial in the digital joystick scheme with perfection (instead of using a dedicated rotary knob spinner setup which would've allowed for more precise control either slow or fast, albeit on just one axis) to play on the Gunbarich PCB. A really cool & very colorful puzzler/shmup hybrid, indeed, with the signature Psikyo CG rendered sprites and backgrounds. This PCB is an ol' favorite of mine to fire up from time to time.

Too bad there was never a proper PCB sequel as it deserved one.

Did your Gunbarich PCB come with the original Japanese arcade paperworks, alien_mame? If so, consider them as extra frosting on a big slice of cake if you will.

Ah, I see. It certainly was a very affordable pricepoint acquring it as a barebones PCB then. The later stages are quite challenging as you'll later find out (and requiring faster reflexes to keep the ball "in play" from going down the drain).

Congrats on scoring it for your PCB stash.

Nice get drboom! Although I also think Strahl has an NMK feel to it, there isn't any confirmed source that says they worked on it (not even JP NMK fan pages).

Here are my gets for the last month or two (finally getting into Gradius thanks to Alamone).
