I gonna back to Italy.
I'm also 100% italian, and an emigrant. I don't find funny how people make a parody on how some of the humblest emigrants from my country (the ones who had to move because poor and illiterate, often;among them people of my family), by the arrogant locals, especially considering that many locals speak dialect or strongly regional versions of their language. Is it so difficult to accept? And why this kind of attitude seems to be omnipresent in monolinguals, of which a large percentage happens to be made of anglophonics?

As much as I think the joke is unnofensive, Rando has somewhat of a point. This thread should have gone to the tasteless joke thread to begin with. It wouldn't have caused any stirs there in the first place. We all know there are offensive jokes over there, because we created that thread and agreed to keep it for that purpose.
If I might make a comment, most of the humor in the whole continent is race-based. Granted, I don't know as many jokes about regular caucasian males as I hear them about pretty much any other races: polish, mexican, chinese, japanese, afroamerican, russians, hindus, (and with all the outsourcing to India, there's no day one person at my call center job bitches about not wanting to be transferred to India. Morons) jewish and arabics. And don't we all make fun of the broken english we see in Japanese games?
But as long as everyone gets a bit burned, no one seems to mind. It's called being an equal opportunity offender.
I suggest the thread be closed and the original post moved to the tasteless joke thread.

Clearly you don't both know what you are talking about. You are defending a joke that makes fun about way people speak a language, like everyone else is perfect in their diction.
