I know there is a Framemeister thread but I don't have the time to sift through it all now and I couldn't find the answers to exactly what I was looking for as the questions are pretty boneheaded!
1) Solaris states that the Framemeister is up for pre-order and will be out in December? Do you think this is a new stock coming in or is the item currently in stock and their description not updated since the initial release?
2) I have a Japanese Megadrive 1 so I need two cables, correct? JP RGB -> HDMI and MD1 JP MD1 Composite -> JP RGB right?
3) I noticed that some of the Megadrive cables listed on eBay have and optional stereo cable, etc. Do I need one with that?
4) Anywhere aside from eBay where I can get these from? Rather not buy cables for a high end setup from sellers I don't trust.
5) I read on the Framemeister FAQ that some sort of sync device is reccomended for the Megadrive when using the Framemeister. Is a sync device like the Micomsoft Sync box worth getting as well?

not updated, it's available.1) Solaris states that the Framemeister is up for pre-order and will be out in December? Do you think this is a new stock coming in or is the item currently in stock and their description not updated since the initial release?
no, you need a RGB cable with japanese layout. If you use a RGB cable with euro layout you need an additional adapter from EU to JP layout.2) I have a Japanese Megadrive 1 so I need two cables, correct? JP RGB -> HDMI and MD1 JP MD1 Composite -> JP RGB right?
That's input related. The Din8 output on the MD does only output Mono unless you mod your MD.3) I noticed that some of the Megadrive cables listed on eBay have and optional stereo cable, etc. Do I need one with that?
there are only few sellers out there on ebay and they can all be trusted. Your other alternative is building them yourself.4) Anywhere aside from eBay where I can get these from? Rather not buy cables for a high end setup from sellers I don't trust.
no. You should just make that your cable uses raw sync from the MD's RGB output instead of composite video.5) I read on the Framemeister FAQ that some sort of sync device is reccomended for the Megadrive when using the Framemeister. Is a sync device like the Micomsoft Sync box worth getting as well?

Re: Five Quick Framemeister Questions(Megadrive Related)
I guess I lied. One more question. I just searched eBay for MD1 RGB/SCART cables and only one cable listed advertises that it has raw sync and it's for MD2 only. Is there any way to tell which cables do or do not have sync, was thinking that some on eBay may have it but just not advertise it. I have no setup to solder or build any cables, so that's not an option for me.That covers everything, thanks Fudoh!
Thanks.

Re: Five Quick Framemeister Questions(Megadrive Related)
Just inquire with the seller before buying. If nothing is mentioned, then the cable uses composite video, not sync.
