Does anyone have some advice on how to go about making an iPhone app??? These details:
1. What program to use
2. I've ever made a game before, so have to learn the program from scratch.
3. Please help! Where to begin?
4. Deosnt have to be too fancy-- I can be creative with whatever program is easiest. (it's function is just to support an album's music as the background tracks.)
I thought I'd seen a version of gamemaker that published to app style.

Game Maker: Studio exports to the iPhone and just came out of beta.
You'll be paying $200 for GM:Studio + the iOS support module though, so it's pretty damn expensive IMO. Not sure if you'll ever get that kind of money back from an iPhone shmup.
And unless they've changed it music support in GM is pretty rubbish and I'm not sure about iOS-specific things like letting it play your iPhone album music. There's a reason every PC Game Maker developer uses an external DLL for sound.

Yeah, the fact that GM:Studio's iPhone and Android modules cost so much really put me off, I was about to buy it until I saw that.BPzeBanshee wrote:Game Maker: Studio exports to the iPhone and just came out of beta.

And it'd be really nice if Game Maker had proper music support [asking for built in support for module formats might be much, but support for MP3 [very machine dependent currently] or OGG is not unreasonable at all].
You'd probably have to look into an iPhone game library and work from there.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.
