Questions about Japanese accounts on Xbox Live
So I recently read online about how to create a Japanese Xbox live account and so I created one. A few of the shmups are downloadable as are some of the DLC for them. I want to download the DLCs for Bullet Soul but I don't know if they will work on my console. My Console is North American and the game is region free and I know you can buy Japanese MS points on Play-Asia. Has anyone out there tried to download anything off the Japanese Marketplace? And if so is it compatible with North American Xbox? Sorry for the long drawn out question but I would like to know before I put money into such a venture.

as long as the game works on your system, the DLC will work as well - don't worry.

What if you would like to buy a full game from the marketplace? Like, for example, Eschatos? Would that work on a North American Console?

You should probably check this thread: http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23501
Most of the content is related to owning a Japanese 360, but the stuff regarding Games on Demand and Japanese gamertags applies to any region console. The biggest obstacle to buying Games on Demand stuff is the IP block, which may or may not be present for any given game.

Be careful! Games that were region locked on discs will still be region locked when downloaded via games on demand.StarCreator wrote:You should probably check this thread: http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=23501
