How faithful are the PS2 conversions of Cave shooters?

Post by lazydazy »

hello everyone its my first time here :)

I never got to try Esp galuda, mushi, or Dodonpachi(ps2)
in their original form. I play these on the ps2 on a tated 29" TV
. I see some people mentioning about more slowdown on the PS2 but
I am more interested in the graphics.. any missing details? less animation?,etc?

ESPGaluda and DDPDOJ are 99% accurate. Only the great Clover-TAC notices a small descrepency in color and timing...and that is also so minor he says it doesn't really make a difference.

Mushihemesama looks to have some larger differences, mostly in the presentation (interlaced picture) and emulated slowdown that doesn't match the PCB.
