Naomi CP button layout

Post by matrigs »

One quick question - is the button and joystick layout between a Naomi 2L6B Panel and a Naomi 2L12B Panel identical ?

I'm thinking about buying a 2L6B layout and drilling the additional holes myself. Question is just if this will be identical.

that's kind of rude of you to think i haven't compared dozens of pictues on google before i posted.

i would like to be sure that the angles and spacing are identical.

Sorry didn't mean to be rude --

If you're looking for precise diagrams, Slagcoin should fit the bill?

no biggie man :>

well i guess i'll risk it. AGS has a used 2L6B panel for 47 gbp posted, a 2L12B panel + 2L12B overlay makes 97 gbp.

and i guess i will be totally able to make these holes myself without it being visible once the buttons will be installed.

Yeah I'm trying to think of the best way to cut the holes without tearing the overlay ...

Probably clamping a block of wood on top?

30mm hole punch should do the trick plus a 3mm steel drill bit to drill a pilot hole for the 10mm steel drill bit to drill the hole for the arbour.

Take it REALLY steady as you only have to be out by less than 1mm for your panel to look a twat!

Good luck d00d.

Cheers,

Ralph.

too risky for me.

i'll rather make a hole about 28-29 mm and then use a file until the buttons fit.

actually - the cp i got originally with my naomi has been also made diy :

but as you can see the layout is totally off. the middle lower button should be more to the left than it is by far.

just in case someone cares :

yup - the layout is pretty much identical with the 6b. so you can actually buy a 3b and make a 6b quite easily.
