Out of curiosity, about how many Horizontal & Vertical shooters are there since 1985 till today, on all console & computer systems, including the Arcades?

Is there a detailed list with pics & info?

The shmups.com shooters list can not be considered a complete list.

It would take a damn good many hours to find and count all of those. Without including the consoles i would have to say somewhere around 250-300 shmups.

Including the consoles i would say its well over 1500.

There are so many shmups out there you'll never run out, believe me! :)

Shmup.com have a very impressive 800-plus in their rather French database.
