I always carry a Gameboy Micro to work. Sure kills the time during breaks & lunch periods. The lcd screen can display GBA games at the silky smooth 60fps like with some titles. Very slick piece of portable gaming hardware indeed.

Ha, 2 of my most recent GBA purchase, too! I was hoping to nab an Aleck 64 set of T&S, but eventually lost interest in the system and just opted for the GBA port. Still curious how Ace compares to Great and the later Mr. Driller games.

I have to say it really does appear to be very well made, it weighs about 1.5 times as much as my HRAP 2 and I really like the banked bit at the front, the stick feels a little kinda 'stickier'/slower than I'm used to, but this may just be an illusion due to the solidity of the box/structure (as opposed to the clicky plastic sound off the HRAP) -

Yeah I think I've seen it in a couple of top ## lists for PS2, because it was significantly tweaked over X.

I guess a lot of people couldn't get past the lack of spiky-haired emo protagonist, the all-girl squad and the costumes. As I understand it though the costumes are like the job system in past FFs?
Yup - I think they refer to them as Dressspheres. The big key to this game for me was the quick battle system and fun 100 level dungeon. I'm all about that stuff.
Yeah the battles are really snappy for sure. Wow but is it ever pure unabashed cheesecake.

Delicious Rikku is delicious.

Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

it must be reet difficult for oriental people to make 'real dreads' too, as I though you at least had to have pretty curly hair to make it 'naturally' possible

Niiiiiice. 8) I love the Q3. Very solid construction and weight. Doesn't have that hollow feeling like the HRAP's do. Might be due to the all wood construction where the sound resonance dies down a lot more than the plastic/metal made ones. A friend of mine installed some anti-static foam in the interior to further muffle the clicky sound, he's got a very nice quiet stick now but it still retains that clicky feeling.

Great stick choice Raytrace!

Thanks man ! - yeh I do like it a lot, and it is great to have a truly good stick for my 360 to play R:S, Soul Calibur, Ikaruga and the like with :), and indeed Tekken 6 which I finall got on Games On Demand.
it was either going to be it or an RAF, and to be honest even though it had the multi connection stuff, I just liked the design of the Q3 more so I got it :) - 140 euro postage paid, which was pretty good I think, I'm sure I paid a lot more than that for my HRAP 2 (and on top of that it came from Japan, not England).

the only thing is it doesnt have 'proper' drivers for PC, so it still has that annoying thing where RT and LT come up as 'Z axis -' (XboX 360 Controller) etc., which I know can botch up some combos etc., and also the D-pad is of course seen as 'POV hat' :( - I really do wish they would release actual drivers for it.

Actually doesn't XBCD make it possible to read the X/Y axis properly? I think I'll try that... I was going to just use Xpadder for everything, but MAME won't see that so thats not acceptable :/

2 HOURS LATER: - GRRRRRRRRR now I know why I didn't get XBCD setup properly last attempt - Win 7 64 driver signing check shiiiiiit!!! >:| - I'm NOT going to press F8 every boot and frankly Installing 'Ready Driver Plus' just seems a bit too scarey, I chickened out at the last minute, has anyone installed this/had experience with it - it's really annoying because I had the stick completely registering as X/Y instead of POV, but the second I reboot not in test mode - it craps out and that annoying 'troubleshoot' yellow triangle appears on my controller icon. Oh well, to be honest I'm probably too shit for any of the Z Axis conflicts to ever effect my gaming :D

Stuff that came in today. Most notable is a personal "holy grail" of mine, Esparks Miracle Adventure for GB (action platformer).
