In defense of Black Label Original it simply isn't a game meant to be played to 1cc. The difficulty is definitely there if you ever try to no miss stage 5 while point blanking and with the counter at 150k. 1.5 Original is easy to survive regardless of how you play. There's the 70k counter thing but that only comes into play if you're really fucking good and even then really late.

Isn't Kujaku the most boring boss in Cave's history? yeah, its difficult, but his/her and the pre-final boss thing patterns are simply... boring.

Going back and improving on Futari 1.5 score. After struggling with it for a long time and 1cc shitscoring it, I'm working on getting better at it now that I've improved.

Woo. It's still a 200k score but it's progress, mostly thanks to learning to milk the giant icicles in Stage 2. Now if I can avoid the stupid multiplier killing deaths late game...

What i actually meant in my slightly drunk post above is that St3 of DDPRBL is where I'm having trouble. 4 seems a doddle in comparison. Then 5 destroys me. Also playing lots of Galaga 88 on iPhone and loving it. Need to go back to Gridrunner as well.

If you wanna survive, then why don't you get Kagura - Anti Bacillus Saber? best shot and most powerful bomb in the game... you can literally rape everything you have in front of you with both.

Heck... one full Luna meter of shot + a bomb and you can take down one of the wings of the Rusted Dragon.

Messing around with the PC version of WispLisp Array of List. Definitely kusoge territory; I can clear the game on easy but normal eats me alive. Hitbox is laughably huge, and the white sheep actually lead their shots at you, making it borderline impossible to reliably dodge around when you're in freaky 3x bullet speed nightmare world. Trippy game, though, it'd be a lot of fun to stick with it if it had been more polished.

Hahahahaha... gotta watch that. And even if it's like this, I'm pretty sure is much more difficult to acomplish that score with Minogame than with Deadliar.

Mushi Maniac for me. Mainly S-power so far, but I can't find any replays with it, so I might switch to W. I tried a couple credits on W and didn't seem to notice any real advantage in the wider shot spread. The super slow focus was nice on a couple boss patterns, though that's balanced by the extra time I need to endure them.

Each stage has a couple spots where I really could use some save states to analyze whats happening in more detail... toward the end of st3, and definitely where the flying bugs criss-cross on st4, before the midboss I believe. Also, the st5 boss seems surprisingly easy for a st5 cave boss.

Been playing some galuda 2 today.. got a new high-score out of nowhere (100 something mil) and died to seseri yet again. I should get better at the game, might be my favorite of the 360 cave ports I have.

Today I worked on learning Scarlet Queen milking. Got my Stage 2 LEAD score almost up to that of Beluga's videos on Nico! (2400 spirits versus his 2800) I want to be the top western scorer on this game, I really do.

That's cool. You'll probably beat Ltc's score without much optimization, he didn't try to play it for score very seriously. Hopefully more people will start playing the game so we'll see some competition going on.

I'm trying to get into R-Type III now that I've got a cart... and I'm sure it gets better later on, but the first stage isn't doing it any favours. Shittiest, blandest, boringest graphic effect wankingest first level ever.

OH SWEET THE BIG ROBOT CRASHED INTO THE WALL! And - OH SHI... CHECK OUT THE CRAZY SPRITE ROTATION ON THAT GENERIC LASER SHOOTER.

It seems okay after that though! Thank god Delta didn't fall into the same trap a few years later.

Been playing Paranoia (aka Psychosis) on the PC-Engine. After 3 days of serious playing, I managed to No Miss both loops and got the middle finger for my troubles. Is the true ending for the game supposed to be an example of Naxat throwing out some weird meta/4th-wall fuck-you to the player? It's like, "Hey, you made it all the way through. Guess what? No credits, but you can have this bird."

Not exactly... You know how when you finish the first loop you get that cinema of the ship flying past clouds situated in a picture frame? The craft gets to the middle of the screen and then the image freezes and goes all sepia-toned. After a moment, the demon guy pokes his hand through the upper-right of the image and waves his index finger at you in a 'nuh-uh' kinda manner. Then the game tells you welcome to Paranoia World II. Well, the second loop ending is identical except that instead of the demon punching through the image to wave his index finger, he punches through and flips you the bird. And that's it... back to the title screen.

I suppose I'll join the party... I've been wanting to get a real shot at Hellsinker scoring though I barely know how to score except with Fossil Maiden.
