I have a Sprint LGE LS670 which must be the slowest Android phone on the face of the earth. I was surprised it was compatible with my phone, not surprised when it dropped about as many frames as there are bullets on the screen.
It's a very distilled version of a shmup, it's almost like a boss rush or a practice mode from a full game. But it's well-designed (dedicated space at the bottom for your finger), looks and sounds great, and can be quick fun while you're in the bathroom (which as we all know is the true test of a mobile game )
Love the bee, and that ice wall (ceiling?) is fun. Throwing the force field doesn't seem to work very well but maybe it's just me or the relatively large screen I'm playing on.
Pretty cool considering it's free, also I'm sure it's going to be a good way to explain to people what those games I like are.
it's a cool game for those moments when you just want to waste some time waiting for a bus etc. that's actually my biggest complaint against shogun as it is too damn long for a mobile game.
the soundtrack is super dope if it's all made by the same group. would actually want to have that separately.
some additional scoring features would be nice like some psyvariar style proximity.

Naw, the game doesn't explain it very well. You need to be moving your character in a direction as you multitouch to throw the shield in that direction. Inertia attack, basically.
Very Similar to another Android game, I don;t speak Japanese so I can't tell the name, but the icon on the Market is of a Loli\schoolgirl. Same concept - boss rush through CURTAINS of bullets.
Danmaku Death, however, is high quality - the patterns and graphics....could be the proof of concept for the best Android STG since Shogun : Rise of the Renegade.
The empty space at the bottom is the best feature, I've seen too many "slide to move" games on touch devices, and you end up covering what you need to see with your hand.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.
Ya, this be good one, I say. Works fine in Galaxy Nexus too.
Controls are pretty good, too. At the "Marisa" boss I found that I really need to chuck the sensitivity to 150% in order to survive, at that point on forward I really can't afford to raise my finger off from screen or risk the slightest moment of blocking the visibility of ship with my finger.
