Well, that's a start.

Hey torisuRSG, make sure amazon.ca also gets it, thanks.

Thanks for the heads up, placed my preorder already. Hopefully the tentative price and release date are accurate.

What does he mean by including the "best dlc and putting it on the disc"

I thought the only dlc akai katana had was full voice.

Has this date been confirmed? I can't seem to find a date except on pre-order sites?

The date's in the interview that AntiFritz linked two posts above me.

I'm still worried they're going to ship this with the stupid zoom bug. It can't be that hard to fix, they've known it for a year because I've been nagging about it and they still haven't confirmed whether they've fixed it or whether the actual development team is even aware it exists. Please please RSG don't ignore the people with 4:3 TVs. :(

Why the heck do they show images of the last stage AND the 5th stage boss?! they're going to scare people away with that D:

I'm pretty sure that RSG isn't actually doing any development work, and that if Cave cared or had the time they would have released a patch by now.

Still not on amazon.ca for us Canadians, but at least vgp.ca also takes preorders:

Just make sure you don't pay using a credit card!

Is the site reliable as a whole? How has it been for past releases?

Well they must do some part of it. Torisu implied there was a Rising Star coder's section a while ago the last time I nagged him about this, and I doubt Cave themselves do the translation work and adding of Rising Star's staff to the credits list etc. Either way they're capable of getting the right people to fix this before release here and they know because they even have a thread at their own forum for it.

There's no excuse for slipping up on this one if they do slip up. It can't be that difficult to patch and unlike Australia getting fucked over in regards to the local release of DDP:R (which I still partially put the blame on them - KOFXIII turned out fine), they're well aware of this problem prior to launch.

You really need a new gimmick, dude. This deal with constantly bagging on guys who are making it easier for you to play great games is getting pretty stale.

It's dumb to bag on them for not including a feature that wasn't even in the original Japanese version. That's something you should expect Cave to do, not them. The fact is the game was clearly designed with 16:9 TVs in mind. If you don't have one by now that's your own damn fault for continuing to live in the 90s.

You're missing the point. Surprising actually, considering the grumpy Banshee has to be the one explaining it to Grumpy Gus. Here's how it works:

1. The game was 4:3 to begin with therefore the arcade mode should be able to display 4:3 properly. If the 16:9 modes don't work well on a 4:3 screen it's not really a surprise but a game of the same aspect should fit on a screen of the same aspect.
2. Currently it doesn't display 4:3 properly on any 4:3 screen that doesn't have its own zoom functions.
3. History has shown that (until now anyway) consistent nagging and informing to the devs has gotten such silly issues solved - for example Guwange XBLA. Therefore, I nag.

Rising Star are publishing this, if you'd learnt2readmypostproperly or even paid attention to previous bugs in titles such as Deathsmiles you'd know that at some point down the line these guys have the connections to the "right people" who can actually fix the issue, whether it be themselves or Cave. It's just a matter of persistent informing.

They probably send a document containing the translated script and credits to Cave. It's very unlikely RSG ever touches the game code.

Is GameStop going to be carrying this? I'd rather preorder from a brick & mortar store in my city...

Maybe? Somehow I doubt it. Rising Star put out Resurrection and that didn't hit Game Stop (at least I don't think it did).

Same here - the game's due out in a few weeks and still no pre-order available there, otherwise I'd have already paid it off.

Yeah, having VideoGamesNY 20 minutes away by F train is pretty sweet.

Resurrection wasn't published in the US, though. The Euro version just happily played on our systems. :)

Agreed! Although slightly more that 20min for me. I was just about to email them about this too. Thanks for the heads up.
