Location test question.

Post by cabsR4pimps »

When they do location tests on games like Dodonpachi Saidaioujou, how do they mirror the video of the PCB to a remote LCD screen?

Probably something like this --

http://www.arcadeshock.com/items/pro-ha ... detail.htm

It's an in-line video splitter/encoder. It taps into and duplicates the RGB video signal coming off the JAMMA board on one side, passes one signal unmolested through to the JAMMA connector on the other side (to the cabinet), and the other signal goes to an encoder to give you whatever output you want (SCART, s-video, composite, etc).
