Thanks for this. Game looks really intense. The sense of destruction enemies give makes the character's shots feel effective and fluent. Chaining feels easy but the core difficulty spreads chaining apart. Enemy drops don't feel completely irrelevant like in DFK. The game rewards positioning and incorporates many fundamentals straight from the get-go.
Does anyone know if destroying the third stage's entire ship gives a 1up similar to Ketsui?

This is my favorite clip so far, particularly for the 6x Hyper recharge on the huge ship - he was extremely lucky to get it, since his Hyper had just run out at the exact point when the big ship was destroyed and all the bullets were cancelled into large Hyper generating items.
I can see chains of 50,000 or higher happening in stage5 sooner or later.

Ok, here's what I got from watching these videos.
Stars' score values are negligible yet again. Most of the score at high chains comes from delivering more hits. Most hits come from lasering things at high hyper levels, kind of like riding lasers in DFK.
Hypers aren't charged by dealing damage anymore! There are three ways to charge them now: picking up a bee, using the laser aura (which suggests higher scoring potential for Laser ships compared to Shot), and—this is the "new" element—collecting glowing star items from destroyed enemies and bullets canceled by their explosions (kinda similar to DFK 1.51 and Arrange B). These stars will not appear when you're hypering. Small stars will add something like 1-3% to the hyper meter while large stars will add around 15% or even more.
Now the kicker: when you're hypering these enemies, all stars will be large, and when you exit the hyper, the stars currently on-screen turn into hyper-recharging stars. That is definitely a legit technique since it happens in the A-S run posted a couple hours ago as well. Which leads me to believe the high scoring runs will abuse the fuck out of the technique, timing the bullet canceling kills just so that they happen a moment before the hypers expire, get some 3 to 6 hyper levels, and repeat it ad nauseam. If it happens to be true, scorers competing for WRs will be in for a world of pain.

- Dying doesn't reset HIT.
- He stacked MAXIMUM 3 times. Looks like scoring is really tied to survival here.

I've looked at the vids and the game does sure look pretty awesome. Looking forward to seeing how this game looks when played properly so that the rank gets to get high.
