XRGB-3 B1 MODE PROBLEM

Post by GODAIKIN76 »

I have a neo geo aes connected to my XRGB-3 currently is working on b-0 mode i went to the advanced menu and i did these changes "B1 mode scanlines to 175" then i proceed to turn off the XRGB-3 so i can use the b-1 mode but after that the tv won't display video it says no signal my tv is a LCD SONY KLD46S504
I had to reset the xrgb3 unit to get the signal back but in b0 mode.

I tried with a sharp tv and the the b1 mode work's but is a 24" tv and I REALLY WANT :( to play on the sony there is any configuration that may work or is just this tv that has a compatibility issue ? by the way im using the vga port not the dvi .

You can try switching off the V-Sync option.

On my Sony TV I had to use an Extron RGB interface between the XRGB-3 and the TV in order to use B1 mode (with a MVS though). It's worth a try since those interfaces are only US$20-30. If this doesn't work either then it gets complicated and expensive.

Thank's for the reply but the V-Sync option is off what else can be? or you think i should try the Extron RGB interface ?

In the FW that's all you can do. On my Sony LCD the Extron worked great, so I would give it a try.

On my Sony the XRGB3 won't work at all in B1 mode, the picture is super shaky. If the Extron doesn't solve it pretty much your only other option is to run the XRGB3 through another scaler first (or get a Frame Meister instead).

it's a possibility, but spending $30 to try is well worth it and still cheaper than any other option :)

Better continue using the B0 mode and get a SLG 3000 for the scanlines. But make sure your sony recognize the xrgb in 640x480 in B0 mode.
