Huh, interesting. I thought the S1 theme sounded nicer than most S1 themes, and the boss theme was appropriately intimidating.

Is that a fucking female Longhena at the end?
Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
Yes. It's all wimmins in this game.
I personally was quite as taken with the boss music, but it's only one track and it'll grow on me. And it's not like I'm ever gonna get to play the PCB anyway.

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
honestly, the game looks fabulous.

i really appreciate they kept the TnA to a minimum in the actual game aswell, they can plaster it all they want on flyers and artwork, that shit just sits in the box.

Less. 240x320 of course.Cagar wrote:Why is everyone so disappointed about the soundtrack?
I think it kicks balls, and the way stage 1 sounds very "HAPPY & J-POP" makes the game feel somehow FRESH.
The boss music is awesome.
The gameplay... running on mobile phone resolution?

Almost has everything needed to be perfect, but not quite there.

Yep that's definitely dubstep in that SDOJ trailer.

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
highest score in the trailer.. 17.120.917.700 (2:40)
pretty massive number (for some casual footage).. i wonder how the scoring works?
hope theyve thought of any potential counterstop bugs!!

Hopefully it's just a short part of that track. I really liked most of the OST, and this felt more like a light flirt with the genre IMHO.trap15 wrote:Yeah, I thought I heard that too... barf...Elixir wrote:Yep that's definitely dubstep in that SDOJ trailer.Sad to hear Namiki sink so low

MASTAAAAAAAAA!!! WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WUB WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Yeah, lot of 'wank' in this.
Seriously though: it looks good and sounds okay. Heard worse in DFK IMO. Looking very high-quality already going by the crisp graphics, but it leaves me wondering if/when they'll port it. I have a feeling they'll go about this like Akai Katana and announce a port within the next year.

It looks awesome!
I still don't understand why Cave's not selling home editions of the PCB stuck in free play, but at a cheaper price. I would definitively buy a home version PCB for around 600€.

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
Noticed that when the boss comes in, there is some dialog betwen the Operator and the Element Doll... it would have been cool to hear the pilot voice too I guess...
How?Cagar wrote:You guys know what happened to all that DARK SOULS FOR PC begging?
We should do the same with CAVE.
Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
Trailer looks good, only issue I have is the music sounds a little too trance-ish. It sounds like ESPGaluda II, really. Don't think that fits here.
And yeah they re-used the DOJ boss designs, but at least they have new patterns this time around :p

Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
I have a feeling "Kan" is there to assure operators there will be no Black Label. I might be wrong though. 1.5 updates are for bugfixes and they're free for pre-orders so the only worry there is two days lost sales.Muchi Muchi Spork wrote:They have cursed themselves with the 1.5 and Black Label releases. I got a feeling this will be counterstop material... but yeah it looks great.

Same here, unless I unexpectedly circumvent Superpang's trip wires, laser mesh and sentry gun system. But I don't think it will be too long for the port, since they're so console focussed these days. AK was the last original game to be arcade released and then ported, so we could use that as a guideline (anyone remember the dates?)BareknuckleRoo wrote:I see absolutely no problem at all with that. <3Udderdude wrote:It sounds like ESPGaluda II, really. Soundtrack giving me heavy trance vibes. Needs A LOT more Wubwubwubs to be that garbage genre.

The music sounds fine to me. The bullets seem on the sparse end. I wish they would have included some Expert footage.

Funny, when I first heard the characters say "Master" in the trailer, I automatically thought of the Fate series as well.Formless God wrote:http://www.cave.co.jp/gameonline/saidaioujou/movie/

EDIT: Oh god, why does Maria sound so similar to that fucking fox ?
Saidaioujou Black Label, with guest characters Caster (Medea), Saber (Arturia), and Rider (Medusa).
It seems like they've changed the HUD a little as well - it clearly marks BOOST! when you're in Hyper Mode, and you can see the Hyper Level stocked on the missile you're towing.
And yeah, the soundtrack isn't slow and wobbly enough to be dubstep. It's closer to a mix of hard house and progressive trance.

What the hell does this mean:
When selecting dress, you can choose the Otobomu ON, and OFF at the top and bottom of the lever.
If Otobomu OFF, the number of possession of bomb is incremented every time a mistake.
Possession depends on the maximum number that can be strengthened.
If Otobomu ON, will be less effective bomb launch automatically when you hit or touch the enemy.
Possession does not increase the number of mistakes.

When selecting dress, you can choose the autobomb to be ON (top option) or OFF (bottom option).
If autobomb is OFF, the bombs in stock are incremented by one with each death.
Maximum bomb stock depends on the dress. (Actually not sure what was meant in the original text, but this much is true.)
If autobomb is ON, a less effective bomb will be launched automatically when you get hit or touch the enemy.
The bomb stock remains the same regardless of the amount of deaths.

So a year approx. My money's on them getting it out even faster for this one. Fingers crossed for 10 months and an overpriced LE with a shitty arranged soundtrack and worse box art than the standard version.Illyrian wrote:May 26th for the limited edition first print, arcade release was in...April?
