Weekend release, while it would be awesome, prbably won't happen. Employer is on vacation, so I have to wait for that to end (possibly monday) before I can even really resume progress. Maybe next weekend though

I'll explain what the D button does, I guess, since it's not too dramatic (though it slightly hints a tiny bit at the big change). I'm keeping the big change a surprise though, for greater effect.
The D button switches your option formation. Order is side, back, forward, and rotate. When you die, your option formation is always reset to side.
And I guess one more thing that's a bit of a tease as well: expect it to be slightly easier to play for survival, and balls-crushingly hard to play for score (but in a fun masochistic way).

If played for survival, considerably. If for score, about the same as vanilla first loop I'd say (you want to NMNB the entire game, and the bullet canceling is offset by Doom fight at the end).

I wonder if the option formations also change the direction of where the options lock-on. Locking onto enemies to your left and right would be a strange sight to see.

Nah, the lock-on is determined by the laser in front of you. Just tried out DDP Arrange and I am really enjoying it. I'm having trouble activating C-button as auto and it's driving me insane. I'm far from a MAME expert so I'm clueless on how to turn it on.

Hold F2 to go into the test menu, go to configuration, hit B, then hold F2 until it leaves the menu.

I was initially hoping to have this burnt onto an eprom to be shipped from UK to Sweden in time for a shmups meet this weekend, but I'll settle for any date this year now as I'm just so God damn happy and thankful for your work, trap15. How do I donate?
