Can someone help me buy a game?

Post by Blade »

Or rather...help me find a legitimate seller with reasonable prices?

I'm not good at this stuff, and I'm on a budget, plus my PayPal account is currently empty atm...so I'd rather not go through ebay where I see stuff like people selling a game for 1 cent....which seems pretty shady to me. :?

I thought about Amazon, but every time I look there, the prices for used games fluctuates...

I just want FFXIII-2 for under $25...

You do know that you can tie a bank account or credit card to PayPal, right?

Mine is, but it takes days for that to settle when I put cash in it. :(

Plus I'm not guaranteed my item by just anyone through that.

No you don't transfer from the bank to PayPal, you set it up as a source of funds.

So when you use PayPal to pay for something, you choose your bank account as the source, and it comes out right away.

Trust me, I've done it many many times. Too many times

You're probably going to have to wait a bit before you can get it for that price, but eventually you'll be able to.

I managed to snag the first FFXIII for around that much not too terribly long after its release, I doubt that the sequel will be all that different in this regard...I know the price for a new copy has already come down at Gamestop.

That begs the question How Often does Gamestop actually "drop" their prices? :|

About Amazon price fluctuations - just get an account, and put an item in your cart. If it is a good price, then buy it! Otherwise, when you return, you'll likely see a note stating that the price on the item has gone up or down. If you are planning on buying right away, I don't see what the problem is - Amazon takes care of the transfer times so you don't have to worry about that like you would with PayPal.

To be sure, PayPal makes things interesting, in bad ways.

XIII-2 is well worth more than 25$

It seems to come around for 30$ on Amazon quite often. I suggest you just buy it at that price or wait a few more months.

30 USD on Amazon? You'd rather save 5 bucks and buy a used copy? Uhh.

This game's story is pretty stupid but I'd say the content is worth the 30.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003O6 ... B003O6JIVE (affiliate link)

Final Fantasy XIII-2 for PS3 & 360 29.99

& it's about 26$ (shipped) in used -like new condition on ps3 (Amazon's used market is very safe)

Buying new for 360 is the best deal.

I hope you know that FF13-1 and FF13-2 are both terrible games even for Final Fantasy standards and even if you are really into JRPGs ...

Well considering I fall into that category, completed, and reviewed the game before it was even localized, I can confirm this is wrong. Here's my review.
