I think I've heard of this anime before from some rpg friends, checked her out on ebay and theres like all 25 episodes for £9. I think its good value for over 12 hours of footage.
I liked the dreamcast game thought the plot and characters were interesting, has anyone here seen this anime series? Does it reveal anything about the GOD-HAND or skull knight?
most importantly, is it any good? I like medieval things.

You may want to check out who's selling it for that much on ebay - I can almost guarantee that those'll be bootleg discs. They're likely from Hong Kong. If it mentions "chinese subtitles" anywhere, it's almost definitely a bootleg. I've seen this series on both the actual discs, and on the bootlegs, and the real ones are a much better translation. Plus the english voice acting is quite good, so you might want that. They put a lot of work into the dub for this series.
As far as the series goes, it's very good. I watched the whole thing in three days, as I had a difficult time stopping. The story is great, and you really get to know all the characters quite well. The skull knight is really barely mentioned, which is odd given the manga has a lot more about him(it?). Please also note that the series only covers a small portion of what the manga does, you'll have to read the manga for the "whole story" - although the anime does a good job with the portion of the story that it does cover. The last few episodes take a turn for the bizarre, and the series ends quite abruptly. I believe this was originally meant to be "Season 1", but I'm not sure that they're going to be making any more anime.
Overall this series ranks right up there among my favorites. Definitely check it out, but you may want to rent the first few DVDs before plunking down the cash for the whole series - the non-bootleg DVD box set will easily run you $80+ USD, if not a lot more.
EDIT - forgot to mention that the action sequences and sword fights are among some of the best I've seen in an anime. And give the first seven or eight episodes a watch before making up your mind on whether to watch the rest or not - it takes several episodes before you really get a feel for the series.

Berserk's a great anime. If it's all 25 episodes for 9 GBP, then I'm sure it's a bootleg of some sort. There's an "fX" release of Berserk which is supposed to be a rip of the American region 1 version. If it's that release, then it's probably decent quality. I'd avoid releases with Chinese audio / subs, and English subs but no English audio. These are generally lower quality over all, and suffer from bad translations... Look for releases with English audio included. Hope you enjoy the anime. Excellent series.

If you enjoyed the DC version, then you should definitely try and get a hold of the PS2 version (Berserk:Millennium Falcon). However, the series does not reveal much as far as God-Hand/Skull Knight goes.I liked the dreamcast game thought the plot and characters were interesting, has anyone here seen this anime series? Read the manga.
Great series, definitely well worth checking out.most importantly, is it any good? I like medieval things.
B-
i heard the anime kinda sucks compared to the mange, but then again i havent watched the anime and the manga is reeeeeealy good, hell ive read the 9 french released books more than 3 times each and i havent found a single plothole, everything is coherent and fluid, quality stuff.
ill wait a few more volumes before calling it the best manga ive ever read (and ive read many) but its one of the best, no doubt.
the DC version is cool also, that's what made me discover the series before it was released in france.

Would I be safer with this then?
