Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
Hmmm... About them leaderboards... 1st place for original is around 1.1 billion, and stage 1 score attack is more than 100 million for original. Is this even possible?
1st place for maniac is EOJ btw, wIth something around 350 million.

If what you say is true Drachenherz it would seem they've tweaked the score variables. I wouldn't be too surprised, going by the trailer it looked like some of the stuff from Black Label had been implemented visually and I suspected they probably changed a bit of the core code too.
Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
Err, no. #1 for Original All Stages stands at 312mil (that's me), you're looking at the scoreboard for Total Stage Score, which I believe is all of the individual Score Attack stages for each difficulty mode combined.Drachenherz wrote:Hmmm... The 120mil Original Stage 1 score isn't possible unless they've changed the scoring system for Score Attack Mode.
EDIT: Nope, I'd say that 120mil Original st1 score is a bug or glitch of some kind. Scoring values are unchanged - put in one quick go and scored 17.4mil.

ah yes, my bad, I misread that, it's indeed the total score over all stages/modes.Icarus wrote:Err, no. #1 for Original All Stages stands at 312mil (that's me), you're looking at the scoreboard for Total Stage Score, which I believe is all of the individual Score Attack stages for each difficulty mode combined.Drachenherz wrote:Hmmm... Still, so sad that it somehow didn't upload my 1cc score, was something around 180 million or so for original

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
A combined total for all of the stages' score? That's a pretty neat feature actually.
Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
Icarus, how are you switching shot and laser and pulling the gems in?

I'm liking this game on my iPad but I wish they would have taken more time between the ports and came out with HD version right away.
Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
What control setup do you use? I'm having problems pulling the gems in with laser.Icarus wrote:What the hell. https://twitpic.com/97wchn

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
You have to switch to shot or turn the shot off to pull the gems in. At least that's how I do it in the 360 version. Just make sure the hit that kills the enemy is with the shot that you need to get the big gems. It's definitely easier to do this on an actual controller.TonK wrote:What control setup do you use? Yeah, I know all that. I'm just trying to find the easiest way to do it.rancid3000 wrote:You have to switch to shot or turn the shot off to pull the gems in. I use double tap to switch between shot types.. Takes awhile to get your head round though. Scores considerably lower than my 360 ones. Please sort out the leaderboards Cave.

I use switch. Planning to put a little bit of screen-scratch-safe-foil at the place where the virtual button is, so I have some haptic feedback. Not much, just a piece of about 1 square millimeter should do the trick.
Let's see whether this works with some old and used foil I have lying around.

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
Hmm... Just played maniac on hell... I don't know 1.5 too well, on the box I played mainly BL... Could that be that on hell, there's a considerable amount of slowdown missing? Yes, I have "wait" on, but on stage 3, in the beginning with those lamp post things, when I destroy them to get loads of large gems... There is almost no slowdown...
Hmmm.... I have to check this with the port.

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
I almost forgot how much time i put into the 360 port! Now when i play it I'm really enjoying playing for score (usually just a 1cc person)
Just playing original at the moment
Going for individual stage scores, kinda cool that the all score is just a combination of all your individual stage scores

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
Played a quick clear and got 110 mil on Original Normal, it's listed all my achievements but it doesn't upload the score properly. It's only got an unfinished 40mil one done on Original Hell.
I know score displaying isn't everything, but it would be fucking nice.
Makes me not bothered about playing it anymore.

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
It's a known problem with the port and cave en world have said it'll be fixed in their next update when I asked on twitter. Annoying as hell though I agree.

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
Icarus, whats wrong with our tactics on Original Stage 1 Hell? Due to the leaderboards, you have 1737(
) place and I am twenty places below. HOW they can score more than 20mil on it??! Maybe 120mil on first place (for only first stage) is a cheating, but what about other hundred places? 40-60mil. So many cheaters or what? Im confused

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
It's technically impossible to score more than 20mil in Original Stage 1 on iOS or arcade/360 (I've had 19.1mil on the X360 before), due to the nature of the scoring system and the length of the stage.
I suspect that there's a massive scoring bug somewhere in the stage in Score Attack Mode, since it's only stage1 scores that are affected, and not the rest of the stages. Either that, or it's hax.

There's an update available now - not tried it myself yet.

Details:
- Score saving fixes
- Various minor bug fixes

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
I unlocked some mystery music today while on stage select--I picked Palm Abnormal and hit some combination of different stages before hearing Reco's "iyaaan" and getting some different music on Stage 5.
Haven't been able to reproduce it since. If anyone else manages to pull this off please let me know how, I suspect it's got to be some combination of stages like the DFK Hibachi code.
I filmed a few seconds of the music, I'll pop it on youtube in a bit.

Re: Mushihimesama Futari on iOS Now
Cave's iOS ports are stupidly insecure. It would be extremely easy to make a quick hack to make everything worth, say, 1000000 points each.Icarus wrote:What the hell. https://twitpic.com/97wchn
I wouldn't be surprised if someone did that.
