This little kid is awesome. A complete home-built, DIY arcade in his fathers shop. Be sure to watch the short film if you want to get misty-eyed, and throw a few bucks his his way so that he can accomplish even more amazing things once he gets that degree.
What an amazing kid!
Just liked and shared this on FB, definitely going to donate come payday. I hope the best for this little dude, got to appreciate his dad's support too!

There's something not right about this. Cute kid n' all and I appreciate his ability to engineer games out of cardboard, but does it really cost 100k to go to college in the US? And I checked this before and the target wasn't 100k, it's like another zero has been added on.
If you want to go to law school, medical school, or grad school, then yes, it can cost way above 100k. But I also saw that it was lower yesterday... probably just got more publicity than expected and raised the target to encourage donations.
They met the $25,000 target in a day, that would have paid for a bachelor's at a so-so school.
Send this kid to an Ivy-league high-school and college, he deserves it
Heck, pay for his future children's education too lol!

Jesus, you guys get absolutely shafted.
Well... with grad school at least you typically go for free, and get a stipend. That's for PhD candidates in the humanities. I don't know how it works elsewhere.
I knew I should have spent my younger years building shit instead of excavating for dinosaur fossils and buried treasure in my backyard.

If you want to attend a UC school here in California, then yes
