Hi everyone. Has anyone heard anything from DantesInferno as of late? He was organizing this Midwest meet a couple months ago before disappearing off the face of this forum. The link to the meet is here:

There were talks that people couldn't get a hold of him for some time and that was it. I was wondering if anyone who knew him here has heard of him or his recent whereabouts.

Some of you may know him as the guy who gave out the free copy of DOJ to a particular someone on this board (who then later sold it). I think PsikyoPshmupPshooter and Stormowl are familiar with him--have any of you heard from him at all? If so, is he allright?

yes he has gone missing. i posed the question myself on the Meet thread. he sold me my Harmful Park. seemed like an excellent guy...

People come and go, while others stay lost forever...

Why would I not be too surprised to find out that some of these missing Shmup-o's are assuming different names at different sites?
Example, ShaperMC was visiting "Clicks" website quite a bit after he left here.

But nonetheless, DantesInferno was a nice Shmup-o. I even got some "free stuff" from him!

last time i heard of him,. he was on a business trip in Japan..i never heard of him after that..and that was in March...

Yea, I remember him talking about that. He was supposed to be there around 2 weeks. Maybe he decided to stay? Doubtfull...

I agree wholeheartedly with all of you that Dante was a really cool guy, although he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to suddenly disappear like that without notice.

He also had that problem where one of his best friends was stalking one of his neighbors, not to mention that other incident where he posted about pissing off a bunch of WWE fans outside a restaurant before finding his car all keyed up. Didn't he report those guys to the police? Anyway, everything about him disappearing like that just seems a tad odd, especially if people who live near him had trouble contacting him.

Loved up...Yes I am. I got engaged in July, and I am getting married in January..to my next-door neighbor who, ironically, I almost hit with my car the first time I met her.. I am, however, not dead...or even close. I am in Michigan though...shudder. Also, I finally was able to get cable internet service in my...pseudo-condo... that work provides for people to stay in during their training courses. I vowed never to use dial-up and I stand by that.

For anyone who cares, I am living in Michigan right now until the end of October or middle of November depending on how my training goes. I sort of had to up and move after being given an opportunity with the company I work for. I am currently at Styles Machinery learning anything and everything there is to know about the programming, setup, and maintenance of all of the Weeke cnc machinery we use. I go to class for five hours mon/tues/thurs/fri and work 10-11 hours a day in the facility. Then on saturdays..I have an 8 hour class about programming for Woodwop...

As for the shmupmeet...I apologize to everyone involved. A stupid mistake on my part and the part of my realtor almost left me without a home. The area around my edition was being sold to a developer, and because contractors didn't pay attention, a chunk of my home was on someone else's property. Because of it, I ended up without power or anything in my home for about four weeks. We finally got everything settled, but by this time I was in Mich. I got so caught up in work, and getting my home back in order that the shmupmeet, and video games in general left my mind. I do, very sincerely apologize to everyone. I would love to have another shmupmeet once I move back. I have acquired a great motherload of games that need to be played and exploited by all.

nice to know everythings alright (sort of, that housing thing sucks).

no worries about the meet either (and i am sure others feel the same way), but i look forward to a possible meet in the future. maybe if i can attend everyone can help me break in my copy dimahoo (liveing life cab-less is hard).

also, out of curiosity, and as a native, wherabouts are you in MI?

Capt. I am in Grand Rapids..but, I am coming back to IA for about two weeks..for a break. I miss the fiance too. I did some figuring and I am going to hook up some semi-mad deals on the trading forum for some of my more random stuff I have dupes of.
