Getting a SCART cable for my Saturn. I've got a US model, so I figure I need an NTSC/Raw Sync cable. Do I need RCA breakouts for the cable? I think the scaler I'm using can pass through the sound from the SCART cable to the HDMI cable, but I've heard that sound output from the SCART cable can have some buzz to it.
In short, do I need the stock SCART cable or the RCA breakout version?
Thanks!
Saturn SCART Cable - Which one?
Re: Saturn SCART Cable - Which one?
There's virtually no audio buzz at all on Retro_accesses cables. Using a 2xRCA version of a SCART cable does not guarantee to eliminate or reduce buzz either since the interference might already be present on the signal before you break out the audio if you see what I mean.

Re: Saturn SCART Cable - Which one?
Hi
My computer is in for repair to please excuse the sluggish responses on eBay etc it's slow going. They took it away for a week. Would have taken me maybe half hour to put in a new trackpad but as it was still under warrantee I must endure this for the free trackpad.
I think I had this same question on eBay anyway.
Purchase the RCA version and as me to break out the sound from Saturn end not start end and you should have no issues.
You will not have sound going to scart if you do this but I think that doesn't
Matter to some people with certain converters.

Re: Saturn SCART Cable - Which one?
Bumping this rather than start a new thread. Got the cables and everything set up now.
Setup is: US Saturn -> Raw Sync NTSC SCART cable -> Lekeng Scaler -> HDMI cable -> Notebook.
Well, it's -almost- working. My notebook recognizes the HDMI input and it's resolution. The text "CVBS" appears on the screen. I can hear audio from my setup, but the video is flat black. In between the time it takes my computer to detect the HDMI in and the text to appear, I see a little noise on the image - sort of like static in the image of my desktop, a little white noise. When the HDMI input is turned off, the display is normal, so it isn't my video card dying before you mention that =P.
Any ideas?
Brainstorm: Maybe "CVBS" stands for "Composite Video Bad Sync"?

I believe it stands for Composite Video Broadcast Signal.
