Hey all,
So I have a Street Fighter 4 TE arcade stick, and on some doujin shmups I have issues with it reading a constant up-left input.
The shmups I've not been able to modify the deadzone input for (Refrain, certain touhou games) basically read the wierd input.
I'm guessing it's some dull driver issue, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction.

I have an SE stick and have encountered the same problem with the original eXceed game, I posted about it in the thread and these are the replies I got:

Not sure what the best solution would be ..

Often games won't recognize POV hat input, so you'll have to use Xpadder. Though I have run into some games that read analogue input whether I'm using it or not. There are some programs out there that will disable any given input for you. Haven't had much luck, myself.
I've played practically all the Touhou games though and never had a problem, which ones in particular are giving you trouble? Have you tried using Xpadder? For the Touhou games, you can just map the directional inputs to the up/down/left/right arrow keys and leave everything else blank, the buttons should work as is (obviously you'll need to configure them in the in-game options menu). Try that if you haven't already.Barrakketh wrote:This is an issue with a lot of doujin games. Even if you use Xpadder or Joy2Key, when you go to start the games they'll still catch that you pressed a button on your stick/pad and ignore promptly ignore what you did with those apps.
Using the XBCD drivers (for 360 sticks) or dual-modding your stick is the way to go.

Of course, I always use Xpadder when required and have the stick set to the hat switch. I'll try those drivers!dannnnn wrote:I have an SE stick and have encountered the same problem with the original eXceed game, I posted about it in the thread and these are the replies I got:
