Weird places you got your ship into/get your ship in w. pla.
What are the weirdest places you got your player ship into,
Please provide pictures.
Getting in weird places on purpose is allowed.
Places such as :
-stuck after a part of the layout moves
-untouched in the middle of an attack that is really hard to dodge the way you did it
-inside a boss you're not supposed to be inside of
-behind a boss you're not supposed to be behind
-secret passages
-glitches
-just funny positions.
I will post a picture of me doing it once someone else replies

First Dunpeal is considering getting donkey-punched so I can buy his J360, and now you're going to post a picture of you doing it in a funny position? Jesus, Shumps Farm.GradiusuiraD wrote: -just funny positions.

I always though that this boss at seven minutes in had to be an unintentional speed-kill trick.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

this is a test of interest.
If nobody posts with a position they temselves got in, then this thread will get locked immediately due to not being appreciated.

Finding safespots is the most fun you can have with difficult attack patterns, and should be something that every player learns to do.
Like this safespot I found on Crimzon Clover Unlimited, second stage midboss. Not really useful when you just sit there doing a small amount of damage, but I reworked it (and two other safespots I found earlier in the session) into a workable midboss strategy.

Were you involved one way or another in the making of P-47 Aces? (Too lazy to dig up a video, sorry!)

No invincibility, only the middle lines of those huge energy spheres hurt you.

I pretty much always get above/behind things you're really supposed to stay in front of, and I complain if games are designed such that I can't even if it is blatantly stupid and pointless to do so. I just like the top of the screen.
I glitched and walked across a hole (that you're supposed to fall down and die) in Outzone once which fucks up the game, spadgy and CHI did it to even greater effect before though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yf2YvL5uqWE

Haha, I was having some fun with that the other day...getting bounced out of the screen somehow when I was off to the left, but not at the edge, on a flat section of ground, is always fun.Aliquantic wrote:Were you involved one way or another in the making of P-47 Aces? A strange one is Gigandes - I have a savestate in a recent MAME Plus! build where I simply could not get the second boss (the one that crawls dominoes across the top and bottom of the area) to die, no matter how long I shot it. Was really easy to get a highscore and I could milk it forever (actually, I couldn't get it to die) and I tried flying inside the apparently open area in the center of the being. Surprisingly you don't die immediately when you do this, although I found that inevitably something would kill me after some seconds, though I was not sure what.

Sadly, I don't have a picture of it, but I somehow managed to squeeze between the pink bullets in one of the "waves" that Crimzon Clover's stage 4 midboss's final form shoots.
I also managed to fly through the blue lines vs. the Ketsui's stage 3 boss's first form once, although that's just typical Cave hitbox magic.

to make a picture, press print screen.
Then go to MS paint and make a square with the tool used for moving image parts.
right click it and click paste.

I don't have replays of either run, and I don't think I can recreate either of those, though.
