Star Wars wouldn't have been the same (and may not have existed at all) without his talent and vision. RIP.

"Burn, baby, burn!" sang James T. Ellis of The Trammps, in the hit song, Travolta vehicle, and Macho Man theme song, Disco Inferno. He was 74 and reportedly suffered from Alzheimers. His death was announced yesterday.

Its kind of interesting to me that more people have reacted to Moebius` passing than Ralph McQuarrie`s a few days earlier. Both were major influences on sci-fi and nerdkind from around the same era, but no one said anything about McQuarrie.

For the record, I`m more of a Moebius fan, but I respect what McQuarrie did for the genre.
