GBA Defender: worth buying?
I saw the GBA Defender game (the one released alongside the shitty 3-D remake, the polygonal aura thereof i refuse to touch) for $8 used at a gamestop... every review i've read has thrashed it, however i haven't seen any reviews outside of gamespot & gamefaqs (we all know how both like to bitch a LOT in reviews). while i have the Defender/Joust GB two-pack, i'm wondering if the revamped version is worth paying $8 for. graphics look sub-par, but i'm wondering about the gameplay. so, any impressions of Defender GBA?

Oh, and I recall that the GBA port came with a couple of terrible updated versions. Seriously ugly and lame-- they were worse than the Defender clones you can buy on XBox Live Arcade.
A separate point: I find that GBA ports of arcade games-- even good ones-- are much more difficult to play well than good home ports. For example, the recent Xevious port for GBA is good, but I suck at it as compared to when I play the game in tate with my PS1.
