Also, thanks for bringing the arcade stick and PS2 games, trying out Espgaluda was a lot of fun. Damn the sequel's a lot harder though!
No probs, thanks for bringing the PS2! My old phatty is so big and clunky ... would have been a pain to lug it there :D

* rushes off to eBay to look for a slim ... *

Also, is anyone else's arm sore from constantly mashing shot on Aero Fighters 2?? My weak girly noodle arms couldn't handle it clearly ...

Just go to a used game store, you can pick them up for like $40, and then you can softmod it.

I'm so spoiled by shmups with autofire that it's hard to get used to mashing fire. I imagine it also wears out the buttons faster on arcade machines; seems like an odd design choice not to simply use autofire.

Lurking on an auction right now, a slim complete in box with 15 games. So far only 1 bid on it, it ends later today. I have a max price I'm willing to go to, if I don't win it I'll start hitting the stores.

I have an excuse for missing the meet: I was at GDC in San Francisco!

Incidentally, I broke my hand last Monday (well, one bone in my hand... the scaphoid). Didn't get it looked at until yesterday, so I went through almost all of GDC with a broken hand and then worked for three days. :P

Now I'm in a splint. My right thumb's immobilized, so I can't use a gamepad. I can type (a bit slowly) and use a mouse -- but not well enough to play StarCraft. Tribes is okay. But I'm pretty sure that my shmup skills are relatively unaffected! So I'll be free from many of the other games that distract me from shmups.

I didn't even realize until later that I had missed it, but timing-wise I couldn't squeeze it in.

I did have a good time at the Leafs game though! And they didn't lose!

But they didn't exactly win either the bums

Considering the last, 10 or so games, you didn't pick a bad night to show up.

I keep forgetting these are on now that I have Saturday's off again. Going to have to try and make it out soon.

This saturday sounds good. I ended up being too busy last saturday.

Samurai Shodown III is nuts with the tiny lifebars and huge damage. lol

Sorry, had to see my rotten family last weekend. :x

Currently apartment hunting. Going to a showing Friday night, nothing lined up for Saturday though. If I get a callback I'll try to schedule for the morning so I can still come to the meet.

I've never been to Lovegety Station, but I imagine they have quite a selection?

Maybe we should plan an outing there at some point, convince them to have a free-play event

I'd have no problem bringing some games for them to toss into the cabs.
