have you ever heard of this game called geometry wars?

As a clone of GW, it's not bad.
The bad thing is that it's YET ANOTHER GW clone.

That option to center the ship on-screen is annoying, I can't imagine anyone playing the game that way.

It's a casual game with some unique featues.
