I was thinking of buying an iPhone TV out adapter so I could play my games on a larger screen. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it possible to play games like DoDonPachi Rebirth on a large television if I tate it? If so, does it work well and which games have you tried?
I figure it'd work OK since the touchpad controls are relative to your last touch, not relative to your ship's position.
Does iPhone/iPod TV out work for games?

I remember that with the first iPad the VGA cable would only work with common apps if you were jailbroken, unless things have changed.

Re: Does iPhone/iPod TV out work for games?
Per Apple, only the iPhone 4S, iPad 2, and presumably the upcoming iPad (3rd generation) support video mirroring over the Digital Video or VGA adapter. When attached to any other device, the adapter will only output video if the active application has support for it (which is virtually nothing as far as games go).
I also think your biggest problem will be that you will not be able to see the virtual buttons in relation to your finger if you're not looking at the device itself as you play.

Bummer! Thanks for the replies.
But with video mirroring, everything would work with it? I do have a 4S...

Per the article I linked, yes, the 4S should mirror whatever is on your screen.louisg wrote:Bummer! Thanks for the replies.
