According to the AM Show's BBS, there will be a video only of it shown at the show next week.

Alfa has a lot of weight on their shoulders for this one. Here's hoping they can pull off the sort of gameplay improvements we saw from SnS I-->II.
It's hard to imagine! :)

If they could improve as much as they did between SnS I and II, then we would be looking at a masterpiece in III.

I hope they do that too, but it would take a real miracle to pull off. Here's hoping for a miracle! :)

I'm certainly interested in seeing what changes they made/didn't make myself. I hope it turns out great.

Will be really looking forward to this one, after taking some time to really grab me, SNSII has quickly become one of my most played shooters as of late, and creeping slowly up the all0time rankings. I'd personally be happy if the overall design wasn't tinkered around with too much, I think the balance is prety much perfect already. Here's hoping.

it's a type-x game so it will probably get a taito PS2 port.

Oh yeah, forgot 'bout that! Why would it be PS2 rather than xbox? Isn't Type-x a direct x based board?

I am sure everyone else in the world has seen the screenshots of this game but I hadn't so I thought I would link:

Oh, and a "video" exclusive to Gamespot.

WTF is that space ship doing in there? Isn't that top pic Gigawing 2? I'm a moderate fan of the 2nd game, but w/ the gigantic turds coming out on the Type-X, I'm extremely weary of this now. Taito is WAY off of the Xmas list at this point.

Well the Japanese Xbox market is tiny, and the shmups genre is already niche as it is. Therefore even though it would technically make more sense to port it for Xbox, they would probably prefer a bigger market (PS2).

I doubt it'll be that much of an improvement, but I certainly hope it is, heh heh.

And yeah, what the heck were Giga Wing Generations screenshots doing on its page? Guess they just figured "ah, it's a shooter, they won't know the difference."

I said the same exact thing about the Gigawing series when Generations was announced.

Not to go too far off topic, but I hafta say that I like a lot of what was done with GWG game-wise; unfortunately the port was pretty awful.

Well Gigawing Generations in my opinion has the best gameplay out of all gigawing games. The problem is just that the port had bad framerate, long loading times, and overall artistic design and music much worse than the previous games. If they had fixed those issues then they would have had a winner.

SNS to SNS2 was a huge leap in all aspects, and I guess SNS3 will be a solid game too.

Word! :D I just wonder (or maybe hope is a better word!) if there will be a Dreamcast port of Shiki 3, like there was of 2.

That would be very cool, but my guess is that it's unlikely. I believe Shiki 3 is being developed for Type-X, not Naomi, so a port to DC would not be trivial.

Seems like they've got a whole bunch of new characters there. From what I could make out in the clip it looks like only Kohtaro Kuga (?), Gennojo Hyuga, Fumiko and Roger Sasuke (?) are left of the old gang. (Unless the girl in the white dress is supposed to be Sayo and Niigi has a new hairdo and dyes her hair green now.)

The green-haired girl's attack, however, bears a striking resemblance to Niigi's, although the homing shot (either a new shiki attack or something along the lines of a special shot) doesn't look familiar at all. And the girl in the white dress seems to have inherited Kim's attack from SNS2.

Anyway, this looks delicious. Consider me all hyped-up.
