Crimsonland fans....

Post by kong »

I'd like to point out a new indie game to any fans of Crimsonland. Evil Invasion, http://www.vhgames.com/ , is an excellent new shareware game in the vein of Crimsonland. Unlike Crimsonland it's a fantasy based arena shooter that has a Diabloesque character advancement system.

The game has ten quest levels that can be played at normal, nightmare or hardcore difficulty settings. . The quest levels are much longer than Crimsonlands levels and a single level can take 15 minutes to complete. In addition it has a survival mode but unfortunately, at this time, the game lacks an online high score list

The graphics and sound effects are both excellent for a shareware title. The music did suffer from cracking and popping on my system but I managed to shut off the volume and just run some viking metal in the background via another program.

I'm glad I purchased the game and I'm excited to see what tweaks and improvements the developers add to the title. If you're a fan of the genre definitely give the games demo a try, and I'm sure the developers would love to recieve any feedback via their forum.

The only thing about CrimsonLand was that the actual characters on screen were too small other than that I enjoyed the game.
Evil Invasion looks like the same eye straining exericse again.
