Heh, everyone says they're black and white, but I always looked at them as being red and blue.
Also, playing Space Invaders Extreme 2. Pretty fun, great to pickup and play between things.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.
Been playing Pink Sweets, good fun. Beat the time attack mode, and now I'm messing around with the arrange mode, 'cause it's easier. Just switched to a different plane plane though, the red one, I'm playing\scoring better, but I'm not making it any further, yet. The bomb in this is the worst ever though, especially for someone like me that will use it heavily for survival. Why die when you still have bombs in stock?
Also happy that I figured out the crows on the first stage by myself, neat tribute.
Getting my ass handed to me in G-Darius (arcade version)
Is the best way of playing the arcade version of G-Darius through mame? The soundtrack doesn't play (maybe theres a CHD?) so I usually just queue up my lossless rip of the OST but it's never quite the same...
Anyone have any better suggestions for better emulation of the full arcade experience? (The epic soundtrack included)
I bought this on PC but was sadly disappointed to find out it is just a port of the PSX version. Which is still good and everything.. but it's just so damn easy compared to the arcade version.. and some of the levels are changed too it seems..
G-Darius is such a gem of a shmup. ^_^

I have just realised that they turned Reco into an absolute killing machine in Futari BL, came in full of beer, no-miss no-bombed my way to stage 3 boss and got spanked. Unlike most Cave shooters though, where I freely admit I suffer from DTPitis at around stage 3 and am thoroughly convinced that I will never get any further... with Futari BL I WILL do it. I'm not giving this one up until I make it mine.
Going through Dariusburst's Mission Mode on the PSP. Up to the fifth set, and most of them have been ace! The ones with the Origin ship are really good for learning all of the bosses' attacks - some of them are real wars of attrition. Presumably Second Prologue game has even more of these?

Darius Burst is great! I'm only at the end of the 2nd set of missions right now but it's hands down the best portable darius game i've played.
Whats this Second Prologue you speak of though? Is there another similar darius game on PSP I hadn't heard of?
I enjoyed it for a little while, vacuuming medals is nifty, and just the crazy amounts of piggies everywhere... But I felt the stage design was blah, some parts extremely lacking. Then there's that stage 4 boss who does not make me want to play ever again. I 1-Alled 1.01, but might not ever play it seriously again.
What do you care, don't you have Galuda2 and Garegga now? Those are two of the best games ever made if you ask me

DB:SP has 8 mission sets, four in each (32 total). Most of them are pretty easy though.
Oh, right! That's a fair chunk fewer, then - the original has eight sets of seven. Still, I'm looking forward to picking up SP when I have access to an iThing again.

Haven't played Garegga but agreed on Espgaluda 2. Such an underrated masterpiece.
Working on Garegga and DOJBL atm.
Best so for is 8,7 mil in Gare (stage 6 is still kicking my ass) and 105+ mil in DOJ... had 3 pixels left on the last boss' lifebar when i fucked up that round.
Feels like the general idea of the chaining is starting to sink in. Have only played 15-something credits so far.

I dislike Toppel's option setup but the game keeps sucking me in... 166,460 points currently.
Heavy Unit - got a 148K score at 3-1, though I'm using the heavy default autofire rate plus a custom button so it spams the secondary shot at the same time. It seems that for the default ship shot, you can effectively double your firepower. Very interesting game, though the powerup system isn't perfect and some of the levels feel like a power down (although I'm sure they wouldn't if I was using autofire). I guess the mecha transform is what you want if you need straight-forward power shots, and the ship for a spread shot. Backwards from what I'd expect.
Making stage 4 on Futari BL consistently now, and almost got the ST3 boss nailed down good. Tried out Maniac, and was surprised to no-miss, no-bomb through to ST2 boss, then panicked and died. Not much to some I know, but I take my little victories where I find them.
Under Defeat and Under Defeat HD, of course. Today though, I popped in RayCrisis and for the first time ever (that I can recall), I played all the way through the Special Mission (so many extends... so many cheap ass boss attacks). It would have been nice if that mode had something resembling an ending... outside of a single screen telling me that the Trial Mission has been cleared.
3D Classics: TwinBee [3DS].
I'm glad this exists, but the 3D is really odd here, it is really, really deep, and makes focusing on the game pretty hard.
It's probably the only game I play in 3D with the slider not on max.
Also, apparently there is still some sprite flicker, which bothered the fuck out of me.
Also, I have fond memories of playing this on those cheap Famiclone N64 controller things that used to be sold in malls and had like, 64("000") games on them, and never knew there wasn't an official US NES release of TwinBee because of it.
Of course, the damn thing broke, but hey.

If you're playing purely for survival Futari BL is an absolute cakewalk. Down a bottle of Jack and go for it.
Been playing mostly BWRP for some weeks. Still can't pull a no-guard 1cc on Heaven, but I am getting deeper and deeper on stage 5(when I don't royally mess up on stages 1 and 2).
Just made past 3.1m mark on stage 1, now I'll try to set some goal values for the next stages.
Playing a bit of that Arcanasomething and Verminest sometimes, but I suck(more) at those.
Mostly Otomedius Excellent and credits in various Cave 360 games.
I think I want to improve my BL Maniac score in Futari. And I want to play more Espy II Black Label.
