King Of Fighters 2002 / 2003 Xbox impressions

Post by ThirdStrike »

Got this game today and must say it plays pretty well. Just like the Ps2 version it is dead on along with the 3d backgrounds which are not half bad.The balance is good and tweaked like most SNK fighters. The animation is very fluid and rosters filled out very well. If anyone is into 2D fighting games they should go pick this up.Definately worth $20 for each game :) Look forward to getting a LIVE account soon.I will try this at a friends and see how it plays online.

The animation is the same as the mvs, so we have all seen that and its not bad. You didn't mention the arranged music in 2003 which is by far the best thing about the port. And I agree the 3D backgrounds dont look too out of place.

The games are very well done. 2003 has no lag at all and plays great. They fixed a few issues present on the PS2 version, and it's good to have these great KOF games online. If anyone wants to play me, my gamertag is:Jedah Doma

What issues were on the PS2 version? I didn't notice anything, but then again I'm just a KOF newb.

I've dabbled in the KOF series but I prefer the FF Series to KOF, esp FF3.

I do like RB2 but I'm not too keen on losing the indiviual attack buttons having A=Punch B=Kick C=Strong Attack(Punch and Kick) D=Stift Plane
