The other day I accidentally discovered something.
I choose Stage Edit and selected the question marks.
I either started on the fifth level or first the 1st level and then the fifth level.
Any way the point is the fifth level.
How do I trigger this or is this just random?
Thank you

Do I have to find this out myself? I thought some of you guys know all secrets in BG. Guess not. Not that it is that interesting, but it is when you would want to practise more on fifth level. Perhaps there are options to have the sixth stage as the second stage with another code?
Do I have to post this in Strategy then?
I'm very curious as to how this was unlocked. Perhaps I'm the only one, I don't know.

thank you.
What is the easiest order of stages, keeping in mind ranking and such?
The easiest for survival purposes, not for pont purposes.
Level 2 with the birds gives lots of points which could be for one new fighter, so perhaps that one last to not get higher rank earlier on in the game.
That depends on what you want to learn. The default order is adequate enough to learn the intracacies of the game, as it gradually introduces all the required skills and play mechanics as you progress.D wrote:What is the easiest order of stages, keeping in mind ranking and such?

Plateau is relatively sparse with regards to enemies and so on, so survival is easy, but outside of Cloud and Airport is one of the highest scoring stages in the game (the pink flamingoes and Mad Ball techniques executed correctly can earn around 2mil+ in total for each ship).
Factory introduces attacking the scenery for Medals, and features quite a good concentration of secrets, as well as the secret 1UP item. Quite easy from the midboss onwards. As well as Valley's boss Nose Lavagghin, Factory also introduces ideas for taking apart the bosses, as Earth Crisis needs to be tackled in the correct manner to allow safe passage past it.
Plant takes the ideas from Plateau and Factory and gives you the first real test of your abilities. There is a large concentration of scenery destruction and hidden Medals, as well as a secret scoring trick against the boss, Satanic Surfer.
If you are playing on the Saturn version, why not practice with Score Attack Mode? The rank system is set to initial levels when you start a stage attack, so it should give you a good guideline for stage layout and strategy before you attempt the game at proper rank levels.D wrote:Not that it is that interesting, but it is when you would want to practise more on fifth level. You have to have beaten the stage in question in the regular game mode before you can access it in Score Attack, mind.
