Just got Taito Memories Gekan today and I forgot how rediculous the player character looked in this game. He walks like he has to take a massive crap wtf! What moron gave this character design the green light!? And the presentation and "Pac-Man" font is terrible. Can't even read some of it when it's dark blue over a black background. LOL
The music isn't bad but what the hell happened with this one? =/

I'm wondering what happened to Rastan Saga 2 too. It looks ugly in both the arcade and Genesis revs. The first Rastan looks much better.CecilMcW00t wrote:Just got Taito Memories Gekan today and I forgot how rediculous the player character looked in this game. Yeah man the first is still the best but I'd much rather have Warrior Blade than this tripe. X_x
I played up until the second stage where those bugs (invincible?) are crawling on the ground. I had to keep jumping over them while slicing away the debris falling from the sky. Then I just kept dying from instant hits and finally exited from the game. XD
Overall Vol. 2 is just a very uneven collection compared to the first one. A lot of the games are mediocre or trash. But the rest is pretty solid.

LOL! In a fit of extreme boredom after finishing Cadash, I decided to boot this steaming pile up again. I credit-fed my way through it just to beat the game and see if it gets worse/better. Some of the worst platforming and bosses I have seen! All the bosses consist of you blocking their predictable attacks and then retaliating while trying to dodge whatever junk they can throw at you.
Some really funny points of interest (or should I say disinterest? lol):
Round 4 has a nearly impossible jump. You have to fall down this character-width pit and land on a platform which is under a pillar. The space between the pillar and the platform is the height of your character while ducking. I credit so much trying to figure out how to land on it. I took a picture on my cell phone but I'm having trouble uploading it.
The final boss was so easy and only had two different attack patterns. So after I beat him, it asked for my initials for the high score table and I was like "WTF! Thats it?! LOL". XD
Music was done by OGR (Darius soundtrack guy) and Yack (Sound Editor). Staff roll theme sounds really retarded at certain points. Was Taito low on cash and time or something during this game?
That's all for now. I'm going to do something constructive now. >_>;;
