The point is, the arcade's graphics aren't at 1:1 pixel aspect, like every consumer device is, thus requiring some sort of scaling. See previous posts on the subject.

Haven't spent enough time with the iOS port to figure out how this was handled.

can i say i 1CC'd daioujou if i beat the ios version on normal ... on an ipad ... using a stylus?

You can say you beat it on iOS. You can't say you beat it on the arcade or on the PS2/360 ports.

You would have to be playing on Hell, not Normal, to have the original bullet patterns, but that still isn't the same as the arcade experience since the iOS game adds auto-bombing and removes fixed movement speeds.

As StarCreator said above, you can claim you cleared DaiOuJou for iOS, but not DaiOuJou.

Yep, a Lumia 800! Looking forward to having a Live-enabled game for it that I actually want to play! Almost every game on it at the moment seems to be either a hugely overpriced iOS/android port or a mediocre license cash-in.

Between this and my 4g iPod my pockets will be bursting with Cave-joy!

(Also: Really enjoying the retro-style EVAC splash screen).

huh, that looks rather nice presentation-wise anyways. has a very dark tech look about it, and the title screen rings true to some toaplan oldies. i'm admittedly a lot more excited to see more of this than i am for sadaioujou

Does the XBL logo all over this site bear some indication that an XBLA port is likely, or do they slap that all over all Windows Phone games?

Windows phone intergrates with your XBox Live account, and offocial Windows Phone games utilise it (You can get achievements, etc that show up on your Live account same as Xbox 360 games)

So, all it means is that this is one of those games. Nothing to do with the Xbox360 I'm afraid.

The bullets in the first part are kind of slow (Ketsui mid-S4's, for example). Then again there is rank and all dem stages.

I have a Lumia 800. Went to look for the game today and its not on the Marketplace yet. Looks awesome though. I don't think the gameplay video can really compare to the actual Lumia screen. The colours will be out of this world.

Just wish it was on the Marketplace already!

Second finger for bomb and score item drops based on proximity to enemies.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how this handles compared to the iOS games.

Cave have been pretty canny here. releasing it as a sort of spin-off with the "simulator" scenario means that, if it's popular they can port it to other devices, but if it's not they can just claim it's not part of the series canon so non-WP7 owners are less likely to be annoyed about missing out.

I really wouldn't hold your breath for that. Depending on the feedback it receives it may end up on iOS and/or Android though.

...Unless Microsoft have it locked down with some sort of cast-iron exclusivity deal.

Gameplay looks like fun, graphics look like shit.

Hopefully the 3 people who have a windows 7 phone can enjoy it.

Kinda bored of the DFK soundtrack remixes now though. I mean it literally looks like 95% DFK with SDOJ's hyper system.
