Yea... If your Malcs age or mine, you may remember some cool mullet hair kid in EGM magazines. He's a "professional gamer" so don't mess around here now!

Anyway, its weird. I've been playing a lot of ThunderForce V on Saturn, and playing old school "shooters". I thought about, and remembered those old adds in magazines. Then the name struck me!!! It took a while, I was at work while I was thinking about all this. Yea...my job allows me to daydream, as I'm not an air traffic controller. Perhaps if the airport allowed Sanwa parts...?

I almost doubt that thats really THE Jamie Bunker responding in the thread...but who knows?
He claims to never have beaten Gaiares. Which, I figured he would have.
So, I guess I have something on him then, because I have. Without cheats!!!

Simply a few plays a day, for about two weeks (or less) and I did it many years ago. I may have even had a mullet then too, so thats probably the key secret.

I was going to ask about Texas' own Thor Aackerlund, but I see someone beat me to it. I remember anytime there was any kind of contest in EGM Thor was the winner. My friend and I used to be completely obsessed with his celebrity in a half ironic, half sincere way. In the early 90s you have to remember that the idea of someone being a professional video game player was like being a god amongst men. Way before WWJD bracelets became cool with the X'ian kids, we would ask each other "What would Thor Aackerlund do?"
