Sweet. Hopefully I'll be posting one here as well soon. Mine will be a bit more 'traditional', though.

Just wondering what those Bubblegum Crisis games on PC Engine are? Never seen those before. Always interested in any BGC related artwork!

Solidtek 6600, just $44.20 (+$38.45 int. shipping). That's extremely cheap for a decent mechanical keyboard, mind you.

$400 and some digging around with the inside got me a very nice new HD CRT.

I got an awesome deal on Over Horizon. The box is a little banged up but it's a virgin cart. Completely untouched. The seller fucked up and made the auction end in the middle of a workday so I was able to get if for a fraction of what it usually goes for. Conversely, I paid about three times more for Raf World then I would have for a complete copy of Journey to Silus. JPN version of Metal Storm has some interesting graphical differences and the last stage is made more difficult. Great game though. Thanks goes to the folks on this board who recommended it.

The loose carts were all super cheap. I would have preferred to get complete copies but when the price is over 12X more expensive for a box and manual, as in the case of Rockman 2 and the JPN ver. of Shatterhand, you just gotta say, "fuck it" and go for the cheap option.

The last few complete copies I saw ended at little over 10,000 yen. Loose carts usually go for around 4,000

The second number is the BIN price, although no one's bid on this one. If you think that's pricey, you should see what people are bidding for a loose cart of Gimmick. I just saw one that was beat up to hell with writing on the label end at 7,700. I wonder what it would go for complete and in decent shape.

Dunno, but I got a factory new copy of Over Horizon some years ago for about £20, so 10k sounds like good appreciation.

What's wrong with the German release? Does it say something on the cover? Oh maybe because it's PAL . . .

The accessory kit looks like it's for GBA SP?

the magazine score mark. though i just realized it's not really straight, so it might be just a sticker on the film wrap. :?

Sun Ra - Live at the Horseshoe tavern Toronto 1978 (Transparency)

9 discs + 1 interview

Really hesitant to pick this one up because of the horrible Slug's Saloon release (a nearly unlistenable bootleg). This has great sound, and so far (I'm just listening to the first disc) is pretty spectacular. Late 70's is a strange period for Sun Ra with relatively weird/novel Lanquidity, New Steps and Disco 3000 material. This set on the other hand finds the band in its fully impenetrable poly-rhythmic freak out mode. That said, there are dozens of live recordings of Sun Ra, but like Slug's Saloon box, this finds the band doing extremely long jams which it seems Ra only did when he found a home base at which to experiment. So many other live recordings are mostly Ra doing his same set of standards.

Can't wait to dig through this.

I didn't actually buy this; I got this as birthday present.

I heard from the person who gave this that this Vic Viper model is only of its kind in existence; it was hand-made by some taiwanese guy who makes models for living and sells them in ebay.

You can clearly see all the attention to detail, though I was not able to focus the camera properly (I had 38.4C fever when I took these on my friends camera)

I can put up better pics of this if someone is interested :)
