Sorry to see this now after you posted at the beginning of the summer. I live in Missouri!!! Need to meet up and have a shmup session! I wish Dr. Shinobi was still around, he was from the Columbia area IIRC.

I'm likely going to be in KC this weekend w/ the wife for a "last blast of summer" kind of thing - where's that arcade w/ Raiden Fighters in it? I'd love to play the real deal instead of just an emulated version. Also, would any KC-area shmuppers be interested in meeting somwhere in town? At the very least, are there any good game shops in KC? I've been to one in a mall (several years ago, it sucked & was small) and of course a Funcoland store, but are there any that have imports or a decent selection of used stuff? I'd like to know where to shop before I head that direction.
Ah, you remember Oak Park Mall then I bet? Oak Park Mall had ONE shmup, one. Then that arcade shut down. We used to play DDR on our lunch breaks and the guy would give us little piddly plastic swords and stuff, around when they were shutting down. It was really sad.
I don't know if i'm late for this..but yeah i'm from St. Louis....

ehhh nope not really, used to be a tilt in south county mall nothing good really, then they moved it. and now its shut down arcades are gone in st louis. used to have one in crestwood mall, thats gone. guess you have ronnies but no shooters. bout ten minutes from south county mall a little less.
Ok, I live right by South County Mall. I think I went in that Tilt once and never went back. Crestwood was open as of like Christmas but a buddy went by there mid-January and it was gone. Ronnie's I went in the other day, didn't have jack in it really. Still the same tired Simpsons' with ridiculously busted joysticks. Probably the best arcade in South County is my basement, haha.
