Finally had time to play more. This was a pretty silly run. I had to bomb the 1up building and I entered Larsa with 2 bombs, which I both used in the first two attacks. I still managed to survive everything after that (somehow even the goddamn circle spam after the third phase tail attack), but remembering how the extra lives/bombs bonus works, I suicided right in the end so my bomb stock wouldn't have been 0. Now I'm wondering if that was a stupid choice, because without that I would have no-missed the stage so I might have gotten more end bonus that way.

Thanks. I'm busy with way too many games but I'll surely find time for some more God too. I don't feel finished with this yet.

I've been thinking of going for 4 billion, but I'm not sure if my current strategies are enough for that. I would probably need to learn to do all the centipedes in stage 4 properly and I find timing those really hard.

My first Futari 1cc (finally). God, I have a serious tendency of messing up stage sections to the point of this being a shitplay. Made it to Stage 4 having used only one bomb, then messed up midboss (panic bombed it as it died, it literally jumped off-screen to the right and died there) and bombed the ladybugs a second later. Stage 5 went even worse; had a death early on that cost me bombs and missed the 1up because I mistimed a bomb in order to clear the screen to get it (and blew the building up with said bomb). Got through the last section pretty well though, only a couple bombs right before Larsa. Bleh, but it's still a 1cc!

Edit: Oh god, stupid deaths cost so many points, whyyy, even with a 3 bombs stocked death in stage 4 I beat my highscore when I killed the boss. So yeah, apparently I can nab 150 mil by the start of stage 5 if I attempt to score (I must have like the worst serious Futari 1cc score ever, MUST IMPROVE). Now if only I can not suck at surviving when scoring.

Great idea. I actually read that Darurun finished his 3.8 billion Palm BL Original run with only 2 lives 3 bombs, so we might very well see an all Palm BL WR list soon. Kind of funny given that I (and seemingly everyone else here) once thought he was pointless in BL. Makes me want to try him out sometime soon.

If you have Xbox Live, the 3 billion replay from TAKAHIRO CAVE shows a very nice strategy for no missing Larsa. He ends with 5 lives and 4 bombs. Still, I do not think you should really focus on that right now as even including the bonus he got no missing the stage, his end bonus only really amounted to 250m. Something that I do not see mentioned a whole lot but was a huge help in getting both my BL Original and God mode scores was that when point blanking, the game basically counts all of Recos options as separate characters. This means if you have all 4 options on something you will get 4x as many gems as if it were only Reco pointblanking. There are also a ton of little tricks regarding positioning and when to time the bullet cancels that help a lot to know as well. I miss playing this game.

I should try to allocate more time to this game but I got my hands full with DDP and DDP DFK BL Strong . One thing I have noticed is how CAVE's fast bullets are not "scary". They don't even have time to follow you around they pretty much go instantly offscreen(when the rank is highenough), now Seibu fast bullets thats some scary shit.
